slodki said:what distance would you need between the lamp and the condensor lens for a 15inch lcd?
This figure would explain a little bit:
The original distance between the edge of reflector and the condensor is 48mm. to use with a 220mm F.L. field fresnel, that distance should be shorten to 21mm; with a 330mm F.L. field fresnel, that should be 29mm. it may varies a bit in real life.
The fresnel is shown in 15" diagnal
An externally hosted image should be here but it was not working when we last tested it.
18Wheeler,
I'm trying to find out if I can use my IceCap e ballast (for MH lamps) it is 250W at 120V. Do you think it would work? I read the discussion in the other thread about power ratings and such, but I am still unsure. I ask because I foun a single ended MH buld that will work with my ballast ( saving me money to spend on the lamp) with almost the same specs - 250W; arc length-5MM or so; and a life of 2000 hrs; 6500K for about $64 GBP that works out to about $100US.
Still, $85 for 2 is not bad. If only I can get it to work.
