"Thanks for the reply minniew

Has your amp ever failed?"

The rebuild A400 - no (also pick up at repair shop)
The A1000 - no, but like I said my speakers can't handle it's full power. I forgot to mention that our church also has one of the A1000 and during the past 10 years of use and been driven quite hard I do not know of any failure.

Decided to abuse the nmos200

decided to give 2 of my nmos200
to a dj friend who is very abusive towards Amps

He Drives them Hard and clips them to death
without abit of compation.
most Amps never make it for more than 6 months

He used my stereo Nmos200 for driving 4X 8ohm 100w 12inch speakers for 7Hours Straight :bawling:

And Guess What?
Even with the little Heatsinks I had on it (fan Cooled)
built with non exotic parts
50V rails (well 48.6 to be exact)

The Nmos200 made it back alive🙂

Thanks quasi for sharing this briliant amp with us 😎

Busy constructing the a Legend Stage Master & Nmos 500
will keep you Posted....

some pics of the amp

Thought I should share some pics...

Hello DJMARVELLOUS, i have worked on hybrid amps and in mho
are the worst workmanship i have ever seen and i have worked
on hundreds of amps not even stuff forom the far east has that bad workmanship, i have built i lot of amps and would never offer anything like that to a client. The mpsa 42/92 should be replaced by mje340/350. If i where you i would completely strip that amp
the only thing that is of any quality is the box and maybe the
transformer the heatsinnks are far too thin.

Ouch!
:xeye:

I Agree Bruce@bluff

All my dj friends have had many problems with these amps
I have stripped mine & am busy building & testing ncahnel mosfet amps to choose one to replace it with.

dont understand how one would expect to archive driving
4pairs of mosfets from a mpsa 42/92 to92 bipolar?

will try replacing my friends one with mje350 and see if it survives

thanks much apreciated...
