In my world, when pushing the limits like using a big cone like a 12" fore midrange you need to rely on optimum cone shape...like a shallow curved light cone
Many ordinary big hifi woofer is past their limits maybe even already at 500hz or even lower
On the other hand we know it CAN be done, with the right driver
But as I say..."not sure...", which means that I wont say that it cant work, but rather that it means you will have to try it out fore yourself...I just think/says that its uncertain...who knows, the M12 may be just right with a small fullrange
Actually the Hivi M12 has long been a woofer I would like to give a try...but the only 2way combination I can think of would be with a small fullrange driver, and it wouldnt need such high xo point...more like 500hz

btw, the M12 has a cone weight of 160gr mms which actually does point more in the direction of a very well behaved moderate sub driver 😕
Yeah. Hi-Vi suggests it for sub use, even though the xmas is limited, only 7mm. I'd like to try it as it seems to require a very small enclosure (30-35 liters), goes low and is relatively sensitive as it's a 4 Ohm driver. I have a pair of Jordan J6T 2" 'wideband tweeters'. Hmmh... I feel a small need to try something...
