Nowadays with dsp the drivers are manipulated to fit the horn
Danleys got it nailed in this day and age
Altec/jbl westrex klang et al, had it in days gone past

Little update: you can loft more than two shapes to ceate tangency

Now I can officially say that I have tried EVERYTHING with this tool and weren't able to get the result I was looking for...
I just cant get the exit cone straigth... (see pic)

Back to fusion again... this program is like all programs i ever used combined...
Seems like a good start, but the corners are not 100% correct.
Don't know whether this helps, but when I lofted, I lofted with the guide curves going into the centers of the rectangular part's sides (not the corners). Better? I don't know, it's just what I did and left it that way.
Edit: oop, looks like you did that same as I did, too (I think? Not sure -- or did you loft with 8 guides?). What part looks wrong to you in your result?
