Designing a soundbar!
Using B3N woofers, based on Zaph's design:
http://zaphaudio.com/audio-speaker18.html
Posting this in Subs...as the soundbar will mainly be on the sides of the enclosure. Wondering if I can find a way to put a TH in here for the sub!
Since sub will be in close proximity, will likely cross over at 150 hz. That may be the upper limit of the BT 2.1 Amp I'm planning to use:

(I can' t find the hipass spec now... but I don't think it went up to 200hz)
and the sub!
https://solen.ca/en/products/airborne-ur151b4-lj14m-15cm-aluminum-cone-shallow-subwoofer
Thankfully the 2.1 amp will give control over the bass, so I'll have tons of low end headroom.
I'm entering specs into Hornresp - but I have questions:
Is Mmd same as Mms? Is the CM correct? .83 mm/N on specsheet, but 8.30E-01 in Hornresp.

Just realized I have no idea how to configure HR for a TH. I'm imagining a soundbar with a wrap around chamber... like a C shape - one end has driver, other end has port... ends up facing near the driver?
Something doesn't look right in HR for driver specs... says Fs is 1.94 hz !!! I don't see a spot to input Fs of the driver! Can someone take a look above at my screenshot and tell me what I did wrong?
HR export is attached too.
Thanks!

No; re specs in general, best to just load T/S and let HR auto calc the restSince sub will be in close proximity, will likely cross over at 150 hz.

Re driver's box loading HF BW; it peters out at its upper mass corner (Fhm) = 2*Fs/Qts'
(Qts'): (Qts) + any added series resistance (Rs): http://www.mh-audio.nl/Calculators/newqts.html

Mmd = Mms (total moving mass) - air load
0.83 mm/N = 8.30E-01 mm/N = 8.30E-04 m/N
I just realized - this has a nice looking black aluminum cone... but there's not easy way to show the front of the driver in a a TH... aside from a plexi window or 2 opposite the cone.
Also, I can only imagine folding it once... thus placing the sub at one end of the sound bar... so it will probably just be hidden anyway, behind one of the B3Ns.
I tried imagining sub in the middle, but then the opening would lose 1/4 of it's potential length...

Any tips on mapping this out physically? I'm envisioning a split square tube, with the tapped end just flaring out the side... so only 1 bend?
How would I bend it so that the opening turns to face forward or downward?

What’s the goal here?…….there needs to be a purpose to every experiment…..if not, it’s all just an exercise of self expression. pppp
You are not building a pyramidal enclosure, so do not use CON segments.Just realized I have no idea how to configure HR for a TH. I'm imagining a soundbar with a wrap around chamber... like a C shape - one end has driver, other end has port... ends up facing near the driver?

GM's text file shows the correct PAR segments.
Here is a 6 foot straight (zero) flare TH or TQWP.
Single fold (0.75" thick wood) = 7.5" high x 37.5" wide x 6.25" deep.
Double fold (0.75" thick wood) = 7.5" high x 20.25" wide x 11.75" deep.

Long time, but I'm back. Goal here?
To finally build a speaker that my wife won't kick out of the living room? Has to be compact, fit in the corner, look nice (that's on me and my carpentry skills), and still manage to sound nice when she wants to crank up her music.
103db of bass headroom in the living room should be great! there's no TV, so we generally just listen to background music up here.
@BP1Fanatic - I see you're modelling in a 2pi space... so with this in a wall corner we'd be at 1pi... or a little less - it will be sitting on top of a fireplace. Thus there could be another 3db of gain in the low frequencies. I'm just glad I have a 2-way amplifier, so I can tweak the sub power wherever it sits.
I'm going to see what R values I need in the Zaph design for almost-corner loading. As the whole system is wider, it won't be 1 speaker stuck right in the corner, but the drivers themselves will be a couple feet out of the corner, and crossed over at 150hz.
oh my son would like the Rubik's cube! The rest look like too much detail & finishing! Some decent ideas there though.
I should almost just be content with a 50hz ported...
- BUT with 150hz X-over the sub placement is key... so long / narrow could actually look like a hearth extension beneath the fireplace, while the B3N speakers sit on top of it. I would have to run wires down the side, but I could find a way to hide those.

@BP1Fanatic the 0 flare looks easy, and it makes sense to fold since the distance is same on both ends.
@GM on your design, I see the open end is longer than the closed end - How do you fold this? Asymmetrically, or does the longer open end account for sitting on a shelf, etc? Curious as to your thoughts here.
Thanks!
