I was playing with 12B4A,but as cathodyne phase splitter for my EL84 PP amp, and i found they are one of the best tubes for this purpose,but didnt test yet as line amp, but i will later on !

I have been working on the 12b4a. Playing around with a gyrator load and a Salas HVShunt reg on one right now. Am able to get about 0.014%THD with it presently. Have a couple of mods to make to improve slew rate and waiting on a new PT with a more appropriate voltage before I put it in my main system as a replacement for my other 12b4a CCS loaded preamp.

Since you've been using yours for a good long time and you're still happy with it, can I ask you to post a schematic (of the very final version)?
