..12" woofer that:
- Costs less than ~$150
- Can reach 40 Hz in 55 liters with decent sensitivity
- Can reach ~1500 Hz cleanly
-probably close enough:

That looks pretty darn good, thanks! Although it seems Ampslab wasn't very impressed 🙁

Your requirements require compromise.. 😱 ..so I guess in this case sound quality takes a "hit". If you operate the driver as a woofer (<400 Hz) things would likely improve.

Dip around 700 might be port cancelation, peak-dip at 1 kHz diffraction related (baffle width = 1008 Hz). But yes, Faital provides a 100 dB graph ...You need to tame it a lot.... involving a little too much for a bass passive filter 😱🙁
The Dayton driver is too heavy for >1 kHz
Any recommendations?
Linkwitz-transform or PEQ assist maybe? Requires active
But I'm having trouble finding a fitting 12" woofer that:
- Can reach 40 Hz in 55 liters with decent sensitivity
I reckon something around 93 db/w would be perfect
Unfortunately the physics makes it somewhat problematical since per the attached: ~40 Hz/~55 L/F3 = ~0.1% sealed = ~82 dB/W/m and vented ~0.2% = 85 dB/dB/W/m: Efficiency and sensitivity conversion - loudspeaker percent and dB per watt and meter loudspeaker efficiency versus sensitivity vs speaker sensitivity 1 watt = 2,83 volt box chart - sengpielaudio Sengpiel Berlin
