Listening room or normal living room ... I guess it is your choice, how you prefer to listen your music.
Manufactures producing speakers do have the control over speaker only in controlled environment ,like full echoic chamber. In real life, speakers perform differently. Personally, I know only one manufacture and one speaker model which adapted itself to a specific room. This is a link to the mentioned speaker.
