Hello guys i made a new amplifier of tda7294 x2 channel (100 watt per channel). In the beginning I was using only left channel for like 20 minutes . And after some time I noticed that the right channel ic was getting very hot and it didn't have any load. I checked with multimeter in right speaker terminal and it was giving dc voltage of 22 volts. So what could be the reason for ic to get destroyed?? Please help.

Pretty sure you tda are fake.
There is a very good thread here to sort out the good grain.

Probably the least efficient way to draw heat away from the Amp Chip.Hello guys i made a new amplifier of tda7294 x2 channel (100 watt per channel). You got a Chinese Clone IC,
You seem to be in India,
here is best source to get without Import hassle

Plus RS accept Indian Rupay card

You need to buy - TDA’s from RS components or Element14 or DigiKey to get originals. No exceptions
All the best so many contact points is not good and also change of material type@aditya I have tested this heatsink. I works very well.
The price they see on RS and the uncle at the shop who beats the drums make people feel the shop is also original at economical cost. You got a Chinese Clone IC,

Been there and now RS is my go to place, no shipping charges- peace of mind.
All the best so many contact points is not good and also change of material typmy heatsink has aluminium and copper. And between the joint I have applied thermal paste.
I think the amp is unstable without load and oscillated. In the beginning I was using only left channel for like 20 minutes . My suggestion is to add a Zobel network on the output terminals as shown in the datasheet.
Xtreme FAKE
I have used NOS TDA 7294V for more than 3-4year & i must say it's a very powerful chip. Anyway, it is easily available & costs around 250INR. At RS components price is around 1200INR which is very high compared to local source. You just need to find a genuine supplier.

Don't know about others but i used my 7294 without zobel network & didn't face any type of issue.

Why does the channel connected to the speaker work, but the unloaded channel burns out?🤔
Not all TDA7294 board create the same, PCB layout has its impact!
I've seen a well-regarded commercial power amp burn out without speakers connected...
