TDA7294

Hello guys i made a new amplifier of tda7294 x2 channel (100 watt per channel). In the beginning I was using only left channel for like 20 minutes . And after some time I noticed that the right channel ic was getting very hot and it didn't have any load. I checked with multimeter in right speaker terminal and it was giving dc voltage of 22 volts. So what could be the reason for ic to get destroyed?? Please help.

Probably the least efficient way to draw heat away from the Amp Chip.

I think the amp is unstable without load and oscillated.
My suggestion is to add a Zobel network on the output terminals as shown in the datasheet.

Xtreme FAKE
I have used NOS TDA 7294V for more than 3-4year & i must say it's a very powerful chip. Anyway, it is easily available & costs around 250INR. At RS components price is around 1200INR which is very high compared to local source. You just need to find a genuine supplier.
