So you think the burnt channel is due to the fake chip, if a genuine chip is installed on this board, it won't burn out if more than 20 minutes with no load connected?
It is not laser etched , it is fake.Xtreme FAKE
I have used NOS TDA 7294V for more than 3-4year & i must say it's a very powerful chip. Anyway, it is easily available & costs around 250INR. At RS components price is around 1200INR which is very high compared to local source. You just need to find a genuine supplier.
I bought my TDA7293 back in 2016 from my source in Kolkata, it costed me Rs570 per piece.
You are enjoying fake IC, basically TDA2050 die inside fake package
Some supplier might have nos IC as u pointed out
That is what i said & you may not believe but i purchased original 7294 for less than a doller each. It was a mistake from seller side. Btw original 7294 is available at around 250rs each, how many do you need??
The sign of Genuine 7294 is it is extremely powerful & very very quiet. On some speakers it may sound thin. The bass quality is soft, midrange is nice but it lacks charm at higher frequencies. Overall little warm & darker sounding.
In my view 7294 is good & 3886 is better.

I had the same thing happen to me. In the end I sent the board to Rahul at Extreme Amps.
And told him to get it working. Which he did.
I had two types of TDA on this Journey one had Made in Singapore Stamped on it. The other looked like yours.
I used both types to see if I can detect any difference. There was none. Both run at the same Temps. And both are handling 40-0-40 DC power with no problems. Distortion figures are also the same.
There are some good ideas to improve the bass on the Xmax amp thread.
I would share my notes on mods for this but it would make no sense to you.
Its basically a collection of all the mods anybody has ever tried with these.
Did you buy just the PCB or fully assembled from VASP if you got it fully assembled you should ask him to fix it.
If you just got the PCB then his liability is zero.
Load or no load is not an issue. I test all my amps with a single junk speaker.

Fake chips consume too much current at IDL or too much heating at18-0-18, original chip can survive 24-0-24 easily at 8ohm load but fake chip burnt in second, fake chip has no protection at all so original chip is like hidden gem in India but fake or counterfeits you can buy everywhere, also seller selsbthat on Amazon also so conclusion stop wasting your money and make better than that by diy 🤣🤣
