What would you choose over SB29SDAC/RDAC?

ScanSpeak D2604/830000 in a wave guide for instance perhaps... there is not so much tweeter without WG able of that without nasty distorsions. There was also the Peereles DA32TX w/o WG but it became NLA.

Maybe the Morel cat 378 has - 6dB there first order electrical but not sure you can listen too much high spl due to thd, again.

Have you seen that : heissmann-acoustics.de/ and also Somasonus.com from @augerpro member ?

I have no idea more than those, I was lurking on the sb29rdac too as the cat378 for a 2000 hz cut-off, but perhaps more second order electrical...minimum.

Wave guide extends choices.

I have the wg148r on hand and thinking which tweeters would be the first choice.
Jeff Bagby used the sb29sdac the Helios CM, so that's very solid argument.
And yes, saw the wg tests on heismann, seems the d2604/dx25 work very well too.
Just thinking of any other alternatives...

Also have the seas 2TFF and with its large surround it fits almost perfectly in the 35mm opening.
I read that 3/4" actually work best with waveguides, because flatter dome, And I'm curious how low they could go with a waveguide.
Are you aware of any projects with 22TFF/TAF in a waveguide?

I xoverd at 2.0k, LR4, tilt with zobel, and full comp on the Fs. The pair I had were 1dB different in sensitivity. I've heard it in the Mandolin TM as well as others, and 1.8k is apparently doable LR4 as stated by other users. 2.5k+ would have been much easier.

I suppose it can be fairly robust in the right design. However, the off axis performance is not great, the HD rises fast below 2.5k, the Fs sounds flat nasty if not tamed due to no FF, and sibilance is a cause for concern without tilt. I feel it takes a careful hand to play to its strengths.

The Satori version is a lot better sounding, and better performing all around. I feel the 29RDAC is a good tweeter if you are worthy of using it properly, but I do not feel it fits the needs of the OP.
