The power supply was bad in this amp .
All of the original gate resistors survived but some are 60.4 ohm the others 47 ohm .
I know this is from the factory but should I switch them all to 47 ohm ? I’m replacing all 6 power supply fets along with the drivers and the two 8.2nf caps

They sometimes make the FETs heat up slightly at idle when not clamped to the heatsink. If this is something that you want to correct (may not cause any problems), you can reduce the value of the gate resistors.
I just read the work order for this amp since my friend took the amp in for repair when I wasn’t at the shop . This goes back to the question I asked earlier in another thread . This amp cam back with a blown power supply .
The first time i repaired the amp all I replaced was the power ground and remote terminal block since it was melted . I did nothing else to the amp .
I tested the amp for 1hr after replacing the power Terminal block . Amp worked as should .
Now I get it back 1 month later with a blown power supply . I feel this shouldn’t be covered under any warranty . But if the customer wants to argue about this wondering should I cover it or should I explain why it isn’t covered
Any Thoughts ?

Some customers are too much trouble. If he insists that you repair it for free (for something you had nothing to do with), return the original payment and tell him to get lost.
Ok I have the drivers in the correct locations but the power supply fets get hot within 3 secs and the amp draws excessive current
Disconnect B+ and check the gate signals on the FET gate legs.
With emitter follower pairs in the PS drive circuit, the PNP collectors are connected to ground.

Don’t know what happens but now I get nothing ampnis completely dead no drive signals . I even hooked the power wire up to the amp and nothing

Remote is connected I even tried Hooking up battery ground and remote and the amp is dead not sure what happened
Here is what I get on the 3526

Any ideas why this amp shows no signs of life ?

The ic is defective .
Do you know what could cause the ic to blow a hole through the face of it ? The hole is about the size of a pin

I don't know. It could have been a random failure. It may be possible that the output section of it was damaged when the FETs and drivers failed.
Replaced the ic and drivers . Does the board have to be mounted in the heatsink in order to see drive signals on half the power supply fets ? Q1001,1003,1004
Do you have it out of both of the 3526 outputs?
Into and out of the drivers?
Out of the driver board?

Out of the driver board?
I will have to check the driverboard since I have drive on pins 13,16 but only have drive signal on 1 pin coming out of the driverboard
Ok I have drive on pins 13,15 and drive signal on the drivers but nothing coming out of the driver board for Q1001,1003,1004
