That’s Marconi, and he’s definitely a rascal!! Edit - and the Racal's a rascal, too - the boards LOOK like removeable cards in a cage, but are in fact soldered in - there’s no quick pulling for troubleshooting.

Ah yes, the test gear rabbit hole. My wife now knows that things marked Tektronix will be expensive and things marked Keithley will be astonishingly expensive. She has also learned the prefix "femto".
I used to have a cat who wasn't allowed in the lab because she chewed cables. We presently have two rescue cats; mother and daughter. Mother is all for a quiet life but daughter Binx wants to be with mum all the time. Mother (variously known as Heidi, the Technocat, Mrs Gutbucket) is allowed in the lab for a bit of peace and quiet, but daughter isn't. Technically. Neither are allowed up on the bench.

Does that last part actually apply? I’m reminded of a Heinlein quote -Ah yes, the test gear rabbit hole. My wife now knows that things marked Tektronix will be expensive and things marked Keithley will be astonishingly expensive. She has also learned the prefix "femto".

Women and cats will do as they please, and men and dogs should relax and get used to the idea.
Oh yes. The cats know they are not allowed up on the bench. Many years ago, I had just finished a pair of large floor-standing loudspeakers by covering the front with felt (to reduce diffraction). The two cats of the time came in and I saw them eying up possible new scratching posts. One tentatively moved towards scratching post and was told very firmly "NO!". It's amazing; cats know when you really mean it. I had not trouble at all from that day forward.
Love the stereo cats Dusya and Vasilisa.

That first cat (Dusya?) is really interestingly colored. I haven't seen quite that orange for a cat before.Cats Dusya and Vasilisa.
