need help to find a 10" woofer for a 3 way vintage upgrade

It does not matter if Sansui or someone else stuffed the reflex tubes. With no stuffing in the tubes the bass reflex effect will increase bass output and reduce cone motion at the cost of worse transient response. With stuffing in them the system will work as a closed box with a slight leak if it is stuffed really hard. With less stuffing the vent will introduce resistive damping (used with drivers with to high Q or to small boxes). Look up "variovent".
You have to sort out the current system before heading into driver replacement.
35W to powerful? Are you sure you are not clipping the amp and blame the speakers?

If you alter or change anything they would become valueless as a collectors piece and probably wouldn't sound any better. Why not just add a decent subwoofer? If adding a powered subwoofer is not in the budget then add in a .5 woofer with better bass using the best inductor you can afford, if height is a problem using the new woofer box as a base then perhaps dual 12" woofers side by side but Bi-Amping or a powered sub is probably a better option if you can afford it.
I thiink that you would need at least those two 12" woofer to get the efficiency you need and because high value inductors with low resistance are very very expensive a few dirt cheap FOSi sub amps may be a better way to go, here at least these amps cost much less than inductors

I want to ameliorate the sound with the new woofer from 600 or 700Hz and down. as the sansui woofer does not provide good clear sound on the lows.
I would also like to test the vintage woofer drivers in larger box too see the difference by curiosity.
I have never used a setting with subwoofer. I always liked the stereo system. I don't have experience of that.
What do you mean "in a.5 woofer.."?
If using 2X12" as stereo separately could be good solution on separate amplifier, what do you suggest

A .5 woofer can be thought of as a "Helper" and it uses a very large inductor so only the low frequencies are seen by the supplementary driver.
It reduces the excursion of the main bass driver.
Often used to give more bass to a 2-Way speaker but can be used to do the same with a 3-Way speaker. I suggested using a pair of [2 * 12"] so that there would be a 4R load which could utilise a smaller value of inductor because sometimes 2 budget woofers can be cheaper than one good quality 4R woofer and high value inductors are very expensive and around here used 12" seem to be cheaper and more of them around, also a box high enough for a 12" raises the older box to the right height many times
An alternative is getting a cheap electronic crossover such as the Behringer CX2310 (cheap second hand if possible) and a separate small second hand power amp, I do this as being cheaper than a pair of powered subs
 
.5woofer I guess you mean a 5" woofer for extremely low frequencies? to add on the actual system with a separate amplifier?
can you show me a photo of a 2*12" to have a idea?
Do yo suggest a pair of 2*12" in parallel giving 4ohms impudence ? how would I wire this on the system?

OK here is a picture of the last separate box I built, there are two separate boxes for stereo each with two 10" woofers. If I put a large inductor in series with these boxes but also connected with the smaller boxes sitting on top then these black boxes would be a .5 woofer.
Because the Sansui speaker you have is an efficient woofer you would need a bass booster woofer that was as loud, to get deeper bass and as loud as your ten inch Sansui to would need to be a larger driver, at least 12" and most probably a 15". An old school 4R car subwoofer would be what I would use. Without knowing where the current woofer rolls off I'd only be guessing at the value of the inductor but I usually use values around 9mH with a 4R driver. Alternatively search for Jeff Bagbys "Universal XO" as used with his Kairos speaker

If you did this then your old 3-Way speaker becomes a 3.5-Way speaker
