Must be fake. In the early 70’s Ireland lowered the limit from 0.125 to 0.08. Even though many public house draught beers are lower alcohol, I am not aware of any that would qualify to meet the new 0.08 after 12 pints.
I was still in rural Ireland just before the Law was changed. Although proposed a few years earlier the Act was delayed by a few years. The longest delay was brought about by the Medical Profession who demanded examination rooms for taking of blood samples and that such rooms were for their sole use when blood alcohol levels samples were necessary, fitted with hot and cold running water, full sanitation etc. to be added to EVERY police station. As you will have guessed the Medics were - as a class - amongst the heavier drinking class!
A near neighbour - a farmer - started his day with a few whiskeys when picking up his newspaper from the pub at around 8.00am. He would then check the obituaries seeking a funeral within say 40miles. After a large cooked breakfast he would be off to the funeral and to solemnly
enjoy a good few hours of heavy drinking before heading home on country backroads - via an hour or two in the local village pub. I often saw him as I drove around and if he saw another car whilst drunk he would stop and wait until that inconvenience was out of sight before continuing on his way. Somehow he never had an accident.

EDIT: I forgot to say that as a young man he was one of the top hockey players in Ireland and was an acknowledged horseman.

That race, of which I am a partial member, does not suffer from alcohol dehydrogenase deficiency. I think that the Irish may be loosely related to the Slavs in this respect.
Of course we had to drive, we were too drunk to walk."What are we supposed to do.. walk?"
And I thought Spaniards were drunks because we drink a couple of glasses of red wine at 2PM followed by a cup of espresso and a cigarette.
The Black Irish must have been shocked when they shipwrecked in Ireland and found themselves to be the most sober in the entire Island.

I am very embarrassed to admit that I was pulled over by police when I was in my 20's driving after drinking least 8 pints of Guinness.
Lo and behold, the young constable that got out of the police car was an ex-workmate who had left to join the police.
The fat gutted sergeant remained in the police car reading the newspaper or something.
After seriously admonishing me, my buddy went back to the cop car and I saw him having a lengthy 'discussion' with his boss. He came back and said, 'Stuey, lock the car and get the F outta here RIGHT NOW'.
I didn't need a second invitation....

I picked up recently that it takes a lot of effort to be brought to jail in Wisconsin for DUI.

While 12 Guiness sounds like a lot, it's only equivalent to 4.8 of my favorite limited release IPA, Bell's Hopslam. I must admit that on one occasion, after moving into our current home, a buddy who helped and I split this 5L mini-keg in a sitting, so 5.3 pints each. I am of Irish descent (7 of 8 great grandparents) and i did fall into a deep and restful sleep shortly after finishing it. Of course, I was exhausted from the move!
I know what I want!

At 10% alcohol content, I'm not surprised. I had an encounter with Voodoo Ranger IPA (9%) when I found it on sale at my local supermarket. I was wondering why I was getting messed up after a couple of bottles until I had a squint at the label and noticed the alcohol content. Didn't taste all that great, either... My favorite used to be Sierra Nevada Torpedo, which clocks in at 7.5%.
I was wondering why the anti-thump circuit didn't work in an amplifier I am servicing.
Someone decided to insert the mute transistors in the only possible wrong way.
Well, at least the diodes have the right polarity xD
