I don't think so. Not if they're set up "stock" / as recommended. Others may disagree, and they're likely to be correct. Now I wonder... do the N and P amps sound different?
All sorts of modifications can be done. The one that I'd bring the most attention toward would be any of the PSUs that have the 'anti-thump' relays if not originally equipped. Those may only be necessary for people with very sensitive speakers and/or those that get a little jumpy with a 'thump'. If there's no thump... or if a little thump doesn't bother you, I wouldn't worry about it at all.Is there an upgrade to the power supply?
Other than that... it's just like any amp... fiddle away to your heart's content with filters, linear PSUs, sage rituals, and magic stones. See what gives you goosebumps. I'm kidding, of course. PSU changes may (or may not) make significant changes to the listening experience. If you want to go linear, something in a separate chassis might likely be necessary due to space constraints, but there are some very smart / creative folks around here.
I do get a thump, but not very loud so I'm OK with it.
A separate chassis would be required, as it is now, the power brick is separate, Since the amp is small, the SMPS brick fits alongside the amp on the shelf.
Since it has those Sony VFETs inside, made in Japan, it might require Shinto Stones. We're planning a trip to Japan this spring.... going to Kyoto and Ise. Maybe I'll bring some stones from Ise?

I was just listening to a Newb Cube 4”-3/4” I assembled at speaker camp with a subwoofer that I'm working on. I am really impressed with how good it sounds in a satellite-subwoofer setup. Nice work again @SpeakerScott!
