The punchline to Engineer Don’s bit was, “and they’re all filmed in some little town in Canada”: Victoria, Ladysmith and Squamish are on that list.

And a bunch more here in BC. Because the Mrs owns the remote in the bedroom, I am very familiar with these movies. The fist time I lifted my head off the pillow and saw Howe Sound, I admit to being hooked. I love seeing local geography and sometimes will sit up in bed after making a note of the filming locations. I play a little game called name that place.“and they’re all filmed in some little town in Canada”: Victoria, Ladysmith and Squamish
I particularly like the bottom right bit.

I envy this nation for being not that namby-pamby like the German one 😎 !
Best regards!
There's a towing company in Perth called Camel Tow...and a scaffolding company called Massive Erections.

When I was hitchhiking through BC many years ago, a fellow picked me up and took me on a 'First Blood' film set tour of Hope BC. Then he took me home to meet his family and friends. At the end of the afternoon, he returned me to the highway so I could resume my hitchhiking journey. I have his name(their names) in a diary I kept.First Blood movie
That reminds me...there's also a concrete pumping service here called Dick's Pumping Service.
Reminds me of this, which I shot in Petaluma the last day of BAF 2024.

Yep. 🙂Reminds me of this
However, the really ingenious thing above is that the whole building "mimics" the speaker cabinet suggesting the immanent presence of drivers in front and the rear plate at the bottom of proportionate size (like the cables by the way) where there are the binding posts with even all related warning signs...
