Hello
I have two pairs (4 units) of Audiotechnology 10C77 25 10 KAP. They have a Re=4 ohm.
PLEASE BE AWARE THE UNITS ARE NOT SD, the title is wrong.
I bought them for a person who passed away last year. I thought I would build something with them but I really have no time at all, not need (my system already has a 10C77), so here for sale what I think it is the best 10" woofer (although any cheap).
They are in very good condition, slightly used for measurements and initial setup, but almost never played. They will be shipped their orighinal packaging + cardboard reinforcement.
They come without serial number. This is not the first time I see this and after asking, I was told that when you pick up them straight at the factory they come without serial numbers... but I really cannot assure if this is the truth or not. Maybe somebody can give us some light here.
Asking 750€ for one pair + pp fees + shipping (half retail price) and 1500€ for the 4 units shipped within EU. No problem shipping overseas, please, ask for shipping cost.

Troels Gravesen thinks highly of these drivers. If I didn't already have four or five projects on the go I'd get the things myself.
From the pictures it looks like these are damaged. The cones appear to have been pressed inwards for an extended period of time during storage resulting in a massive case of cone sag.
I am affraid 5th element is right , this is what a normal unit looks like , the cone is level with the outside border of the driver
a set of new surround will fix it

Believe me there is no spider problems not any other problem. These units has been measured and T/S parameters are very consistent.
In fact I asked to Per Skaaning when I bought them and he told me they have no problems. I have his emails as a proof.
Maybe It is just they were a special order and I have taken detailed pictures from what they are.
I have never put for sale any defective item.
Merry Christmas

You can see the cones and spiders are sunken in from the pictures you have provided. The spiders are supposed to be flat but the part where the coil joins is much further in than the edge of the spider.
This doesn't usually affect T/S parameters all that much especially in woofers with long coils.

It looks very much like 5th element is correct from the pictures.
There appears to be cone sag
I have to admitt that I thought that surrounds were deformed when I bought the units... and I asked Per Skaaning for replacements.
Attached you will find his answer.
I think he knows much more than any of us from his units, and I sent him very detailed pictures and even the same pictures than those I posted.
I guess this will finish this tennis match about if they are deffective or not.
Anyway, they are still for sale, they are in perfect working condition, I won't make any more discount and they will be for sale until my spine (and the building venom) will make me build something already surrounding my mind with them.
Happy New Year for all.

The problem is not the surrounds, but they might have lost they're flexibility.
The problem is the spider is sagging, it should be flat. Just compare the pictures i added (look at the red arrows).
That causes the cone to sit below where it should, the surround gets stretched and deformed. The voice coil is off center in the gap, and sits below where it should. Which will result in very varying BL(x) and other excursion related issues and distortion even if the drivers are physically working.
The sunken down surround is just the easiest place to notice it visually.
Does not matter if mr.Skaaning replied in a message, the visual signs are all there.
