Visit Lamington market, Grant rd. , you will find many shops selling / repairing speakers near bridge (Vinod Sound 9930780189, near Paras elctronics). Or Prabhat theater gully ,Thane W. PM me if you need any help
The picture looks like the paper surrounds. But that is not what the spec sheet says. Maybe the driver is labelled wrong or it's an indian made OEM that has different specs than what was used in Europe (it happened).
But at the end, it would be best to measure the driver. That can be done with a simple rig (a simple audio interface, a few cables and a resistor) and freeware software like explained here. On that specs we can see what is best for this driver. Also remember that these drivers were made before T/S parameters where commonly known. So take the advice in the old literature not to strict, these were written in times where speaker tech was still in development.

I dont think it is worth it to go through all the troubles and measure the. When i am probably going to have them reconed(i assume reconing changse TS parameters)But at the end, it would be best to measure the driver. I just need a reference driver that matches my specs the closest. To help you guys here are the precise measurements of all dimensions.
Cone diameter(with surround)=7 inches
Inner cone =3 in
Cone depth=2 in
Magnet thickness= 1 in
Magnet diameter= 3.5 in
Coil resistance(measured with multimeter)=7 ohms
Impedance written on the speaker=8 ohms
Pmax=20w
Cone and surround material=paper
I just need a reference driver that matches my specs the closest.
I can't provide a reference driver that exactly matches your Philips 7" driver with catalogue number 2415 257 48008.
In terms of rated impedance, voice coil resistance, power handling, and lack of rubber surround it most closely resembles the Philips 7" drivers in my 1978 handbook that specify a maximum enclosure volume of 25 litres.
However, there are no published Thiele/Small parameters for these drivers.
That's the best I can do. Good luck with getting the busted speaker reconed.
Reconing it will cost less than 100 Rupees, and possibly ready in 4 hours.
For some reason, only 6 and 4 ohm coils were in ready stock, and the 8 ohm coil, specially ordered, did not last long.
I got it done again, 4 ohm coil, different shop. That has lasted 5 years so far...
The coil and cone are ready made, and not much you can do about it.
The rest of the structure rarely needs attention, tell the shop to check the magnet and repair if it is out of center, 50 to 100 extra for that.
Philips and Bolton are closed, so your choice is limited to imported speakers at fancy prices, or good quality local no name items.
Best get it repaired, for reference quality some people in Bangalore are selling expensive US branded items made in China (for the US brands).
Don't worry about quality, at 2-3 Watts they all sound decent, as you go higher in volume, you will get tired easily.
And keep an eye out, old speakers go for scrap value nowadays, I got many Philips speakers at 100 each (photos are here on this site)...
