Salas SSLV1.3 UltraBiB shunt regulator

The CMF55 Dale resistor is a good product. Its rated at 0.5W. I would recommend it on quality grounds for VR1.

Could be a candidate for R1 too. But for no more than 350mA setting. So it would not dissipate >0.2W. Long term reliability is what we also care about. Keep it 2mm proud off board for air to can circulate around it if for R1 use.

A. Measure kΩ value across VRR. This reads both VR1 and VRR as a parallel resistances system already adjusted for target Vout.
B. Find/purchase a same value or very near same value resistor.
C. Remove VRR and VR1.
D. Install the new resistor in place of VRR.

Hello Mr Salas.
After using my negative regulator, in my preamplifier and with an excellent performance, I want to implement it symmetrically in my headphone amplifier, the only drawback is that it has to be in a separate chassis for lack of space, and the worst at a distance of about 3 meters.
Would it have problems of instability of operation for being so far away from the amplifier?
Thanks in advance for your help.
