Burning Amp 2024!

Is anyone driving to Petaluma from SF Sunday morning? My plane lands areound 8 and right now I'm thinking of an Uber to be sure I get to Petaluma in time. But if I could cop a ride from someone that's already driving I'd feel much better. I'll buy gas, tolls, etc is all on me.
I may not have time or any space to set anything up for anyone to hear when I get there but I can show what I'm bringing to anyone interested.

I'm bringing a new version of my 20wpc American-style Williamson monoblocks, plus an octal Aikido preamp of my own brew (including Tom's Neurochrome Maida board!). Also a Scarlett 2i2 for source and my ancient ProAcs and stands. I would really like to hear these amps on some horns and/or open baffle speaks. If anyone is bringing such, I'd love to link up if possible. Also, if you have speaks or amps or whatever and need an amp, preamp or speaks or whatever, I'd be happy to share mine.

Take a shuttle. It leaves from SFO and goes to the Petaluma Fairgrounds, about a mile from the community centre. Groome Transportation: https://groometransportation.com. I think there are other shuttle options as well.

None of their business.

Once upon a time, not so long ago, TSA made me open my RFI protected wallet at the Phoenix airport to "check on it"....

A month later someone started using my credit card....

Or the TSA female agent in Newark that impounded my unopened bottle of water, told me I couldn't carry it through, then proceeded to open it and drink it... right in front of me.

That's why I prefer to drive than fly. From Seattle to Petaluma is 700 miles?

Since management at PL/FW has not seen fit to include the original construction
documents for some older project kits that we will be offering at BAF this year,
I will be posting them here:

Thanks.... I seem to recall reading those. I might even have them downloaded in my own Pass Archives. Did you publish these in your site, somewhere?

Now then.... is The Legend Of El Pipo still alive? And then you got those HUGE horns... ( I mean speakers, you know? )...

I loved the slot loaded OB article when I read it a few years ago.

In fact, at some point I'd really like to build a design I've toyed with that combines the GR Research/Rythmik OB servosubs with slot loading on the front side, possibly cast in concrete or build up with fiberglass-reinforced concrete. Something with a tapered front side taking the Sd area down 3 or 4:1, like on the right below:

Also, if someone at Burning Amp could explain how the S.L.O.B. and a ripole differ, please let me know!

I have this very large Infinity HCA amp that is up for grabs. I don't know much about it; I got it at a garage sale and apparently the father had been working on restoring it before he passed. I realistically will not get to this in the next 10 years and would like someone to try and use it. Was about to cannibalize it but its pretty cool. Weighs 112lbs so I'm not hauling it to Burning Amp unless someone is down. LMK
