I have tubs of cut tape ends with resistors, ceramic capacitors, and electrolytic capacitors. They were left over from circuit board assembly. My assembly house requires 5% extra parts to make sure they have enough and give me the leftovers back. I will likely never use them all. Any interest in these?
They're all surface mounted parts. 1206, 0805 mainly. Maybe some 0603 and 2512 if you get lucky. Nice stuff like Susumu RG and RR series resistors. Kemet, Panasonic, Samsung ceramic caps (0805 mainly. Maybe some 1206 and 0603 for the lucky few). Nichicon, Panasonic, CDE electrolytic capacitors. All in ziplock bags with their Mouser/Digikey/manufacturer part number on them. All purchased from authorized distributors like Mouser, Digikey, Newark, Future, etc.
I could make some goodie bags to give away if there's interest.

I have four sets of never-used 4-pin Amphenol speaker connectors (EP-4-12B and AP-4-13). I believe these are used mainly for sound reinforcement. Would these be any good as a donation?

I plan to talk about the ins, outs, and pitfalls of discrete opamps.
Here is Scott Wurcer (diyAudio member; engineering Fellow at Analog Devices) giving a talk about the internal guts of discrete opamps, at BAF 2013 in Redwood City.
Very cool. Thanks for sharing. There won't be much overlap between Scott's talk and mine, but I think both fans of discrete opamps and skeptics of them will find my talk informative. That's my goal anyway. 🙂

Looks like I'm finally able to make it to Burning Amp! Pretty excited, though I missed out on the Amp Camp tickets.
Questions from the uninitiated:
- I just built a dual-opposed sonotube-based sealed subwoofer (2x 12" GR Research drivers, Rythmik 2x400W servo amp) that has the drivers 5' apart and also functions as a lamp. Is this the kind of thing people would want to see/hear?
- If so, beyond getting the big heavy object to Petaluma, what else would be required? Is Sunday only fine, or both days needed?

Hi,
I missed last year, but I'm excited to come this year. I'd like to bring up some speakers. Can we do a large format area outside, in a parking lot pointed away from inhabited structures? The food truck area surely needs entertainment.

Tickets! Yay. Got 'em. Not sure if presenters and exhibitors need tickets. If we don't, I'm happy to have to consider the $60 for both days a donation. It's a good event that I'm happy to support.

Doris Day was right: what will be, will be.
Ay! Ay señor blanquito, ella dijo que será, será
Speaker Camp enclosure kits all packed up and headed to California.....I think UPS will really pay attention to the fact that I've:
1. Provided Italian enclosures.
2. That solid packed marine grade birch boxes are heavy for their size.

Heh. Yeah... That reminds me of when I had ten 300 VA toroids shipped from Toroidy in Poland. The box was about the size of the ones you had and weighed about 30-35 kg. The FedEx guy wasn't terribly impressed.2. That solid packed marine grade birch boxes are heavy for their size.

Auction preview …
I’m clearing out a couple of awesome things from my collection that should bring genuine interest at the auction. All proceeds will go to BAF, as always.
Nelson Pass will of course be donating some amazing things as well, but we won’t know what until much closer to the event.
In the time being,

2021 Vfet (P) Amplifier
This is the one from the build guide, so if you want more photos, and I mean a LOT more photos, here you go -https://guides.diyaudio.com/Guide/Sony+Vfet+(P+2021)/15?lang=en
This amp is amazing and will be an incredible addition to someone’s collection. It’s the kind of amp that you just fall into and everything sounds completely lovely. As close to a single-ended triode tube amp as I've ever heard in solid-state.

@Zen Mod Iron Pre SE
Again, the one from the build guide. This is available only because I have the balanced version. Iron Pre is awesome, there’s not much more to say about it. Absolutely wonderful.

Here’s a fun one -
@Mark Johnson started down the path of a round ACA with an integrated SMPS filter and J113 driver around @N Brock ‘s hedgehog heatsink ACA Redux idea. This one was dropped when N Brock decided to supply kits, and only a very few were made. This has one built, and one still unassembled. It sounds great and shows just how good the round heatsink idea really is.

Pearl 3 kit -
@Gianluca is bringing a Modushop Pearl 3 chassis set, I’ll bring a kit, a built and tested PSU by @rhthatcher and essentially all the rest to build up the stunningly good Pearl 3 by @wayne (Pass Lab’s very own Wayne Colburn)
This plus the chassis

My Honda Passport is parked right next to the front door.
Do you guys take credit cards? Paypal F&F?
Where can I put my printer? The one I used to print 100s....
If I bring something to the auction, do I have to stick around if it doesn't sell? I mean, I could bring the King Oscar amps... they sound good if just a little bit, ahem... fishy.
Anyone care for ICE amps? Parasound Z amps?
I figure it's a great way to make room at home, let someone else hold on to it for a while.

My Honda Passport has iVTM4... with torque steering, front to back and back left to right.
Came in handy when I drove through Portlandia two Christmas ago ( or was it last Christmas?? ). Ice storm on top of heavy snow and then it started to warm up from 0F to 34F when I hit Centralia, WA. From Woodburn to Vancouver most people had the common sense of staying off the roads. Went through Portland with extremely light traffic at 25 mph...
..but when it started to warm up, around 30F, it got worse. At one point South of Centralia, on an overpass, I almost lost it.. the truck started to fish tail, back and forth at 30 mph... not slowing down... it took me some slow, sickening slow yanks at the wheel to straighten her up. Thankfully it was almost no traffic and I missed the Corolla on the slow lane.
You don't want to tow it..
Maybe if I had that big amp, I could have put it up front and it would have melted the ice and snow ahead of me? ;-)
Luckily, the weather from Petaluma to the OC is far milder. Even if the CHP shuts down the 5 on the Grapevine on half an inch of snow... because the yahoos from LA come up in shorts, slippers, Monsters and bold tires to "check out the snow, man!"...
OK, I'm digging through the Parasound collection.
How late is the auction? I was hoping to leave before it.

If I have enough space in my luggage I'll try to bring some extra goodies as well which are all going to help BAF. Who knows... I may even be able to bring an extra PASSDiy Chassis with me 😉
Goog question. What payments are accepted? PayPal, Venmo, check, cash, credit card? Thanks!...
