Don’t blame you either.if I force my self to go through Visa obtaining process
almost too old for that 24++hours tripping, and then Visa maltreatment on top of it
Also is it time to start speculating what Pa’s bringing to the show this year? Tried hacking into the BAF Zoom call, but encryption is too good…..jk
Ill go first then.

12 hours from Spain to the West Coast. I figure it's the same from Frankfurt or Milan. How long would it take to make the trek from your place there? Just don't go through NYC or Atlanta, go direct.
Visa.... You want Visa maltreatment, eh... you ought to see our Mastercard bill from the trip.
Another all autoformer year? Using the cheap triad ones? Or the Zenductor triad chokes…I hear he has a cure for iron deficiency 😉
Making a wild assumption here! 30ish hours with layovers!12 hours from Spain to the West Coast. I figure it's the same from Frankfurt or Milan. How long would it take to make the trek from your place there?
Har, har. Funny guy. You either missed the point entirely or you've never dealt with US immigrations.Visa.... You want Visa maltreatment, eh... you ought to see our Mastercard bill from the trip.
Tom
No, I didn't miss it.
US Immigrations.... as a US Citizen I get harassed a lot more than you foreigners... Seriously, they harass Canucks too? Why don't you just drive and hide the smokes?
A month ago, carrying a bag of food and sandwiches on top of our carry ons in LAX... the Customs guy asked me if we were bringing food or any of that delicious jamon serrano
There was a reason why we had checked in two bags, about 55 kilos.... because we were indeed bring 45 kilos of 'good delicious stuff'. We left underwear, some old clothes and most of my bathroom stuff behind... we were an international air mail charcuterie... ;-)
I told the guy... flat out.. NO.
He smiled and never asked about what was in the El Corte Ingles Gourmet Store shopping bag. ;-)

No, you want to avoid that. You want to avoid anything that is not non-stop.
Take the high speed train to Milan and fly non stop to LAX.
The drive from Zagreb to Milan is less than 7 hours... the flight from Milan to LAX
Talk to Gianluca, he's coming from Northern Italy.
Wizz Air.... you gotta be kidding.
Hmm.. no direct flights from Milan to LAX.
OK, train from Croatia to Munich is about 9 hours. Non stop Munich to LAX is about 13 hours. Minimizes the chances your luggage will get waylaid.
Drive from Croatia to Vienna is 5 hours... Vienna to LAX is about 13 hours too.
No direct flights to SFO... but if Zen wants a real experience, I can pick him up at LAX and we can drive up... no need for a helmet, but he might need some Xanax.... ;-) I promise not to play more than two hours of Buck Owens as we drive by Bakersfield, but there will likely be a couple of versions of Dark Star until we get past Coalinga.
Yet another reason why these things should be held in Irvine, next to the John Wayne Airport.

I never fly direct, the only direct flight to SFO would be from Rome but it's about 2 hours of train from where I live. I usually hop to Amsterdam, stop for some hours then fly to the US 🙂
Gouda Air
KLM could not transfer our luggage from plane to plane, even though you could see them and the layover was four hours.
I'd rather take the train in Italia... but then SFO is a PITA. Might as well fly direct to LAX and then hop to SFO. It's a 45 minute flight or a seven hour drive on the 5 with me at the wheel. ( six hours from LA... add an hour for the drive from OC... in 405 traffic ).
Seven hours from the OC to Petaluma, taking the from 580 the 5 to the 101.
It sort of amazes how few the non stop flights to SFO are... LAX has flights everywhere.
In the US, driving is actually quite quick for drives under 400 miles. Above that, flying is faster, even with the airport delays... assuming, of course, that the ecommerce sites are working.
For international flights LAX is quite good. It has its own separate international terminal: Bradley International. There's a single point of entry and exit where you show your passport before entering/exiting the gate areas.

In fact, situation is slightly changed from 2011 and 2019, two times when I harassed Pa in SR.....if I go, it'll be flight from Belgrade to Miami, one hop or even direct, as there is a talk of direct flight soon (??)
I have a Nephew living in Miami, so that's logical
then maybe to LAX, to indulge in road trip in Kaboose

^ aka an appearance from the man behind the Iron Curtain!!!I hear he has a cure for iron deficiency 😉

I doubt that. The process for applying for a travel visa to the US is onerous and expensive. You go through none of that as a US citizen. I'm sure I wasn't the only one who found your "joke" pretty insulting and I just wanted to make you aware of that. Your doubling down now doesn't change that.US Immigrations.... as a US Citizen I get harassed a lot more than you foreigners...
Anyway. I fully expect to be at Burning Amp and am rather looking forward to it.
Tom
one who found your "joke" pretty insulting
don't be so serious .......
if you're not expecting someone having bad intentions, suddenly there are much less offensive actions around
it was a joke, intended on me ........ and I didn't found it offensive in any way
we all are aware that every citizenship is having own set of problems, nobody is in overly better situation than someone else
