Those are designed by Eric Alexander the outer 6 tweeters are used as mid-range they play from 480 HZ to 10,000 HZ where they crossover to the center tweeter. The reason he uses the group of 6 tweeters as mid-range is to reduce moving mass. You can read about this on Tektons website. There was a lot of internet hype over these speakers thanks to mainly you tube reviewers who never do a bad review because they don't want to anger any manufacturers and discourage other manufactures from sending them products to review. They get paid by you tube and get to keep what products they review this makes it very profitable for them and it is a great way for manufactures to advertise their products. They also delete any and all comments that differ from their reviews and that is very biased. Imagine if peoples comments in this forum could be deleted just because one person did not like the comment.

What type of speakers are you working on now? what are your goals and whats your budget? You look pretty young from your pic and learning about speaker design can take time I am 52 and still learning so don't get discouraged.
 
As long as OP understands when the two drivers are playing overlapping frequency ranges the idea is bad, and when they're playing non-overlapping frequencies, the idea can work, as they wont "interfere" with one another because there'd be no common sound radiation. One driver is done, where the other begins.

My ears would never hear a titanium flying "supertweeter" above a silk dome - or vice versa - maybe OP's would and find enjoyment therein.
 
While I make a game out of stacking different fullrange drivers, the pairing should be complementary in mid-to-high frequency response -- prominently concave with convex for example -- so one driver or the other would dominate at any point. Also, their axes need not be exactly parallel. (OP can off-axis the soft-dome as low-pass filter.)

So, how many tweeters do you need then? Since there is hardly any way to get them coherent on even sub 10k frequencies, doubling only gives you +3dB. Say you have a good tweeter that handles +/-110dB at 1m, you get about 98dB at 5m. You need roughly in-between 2^6 and 2^7 tweeters...
