Hi All. I’m starting my new speakers build this week. The design is done and I’m sending the files to the CNC cutter tomorrow and will pick up the parts next weekend. The drivers are 10” full range field coils and the cabs are 5.7 cu in volume for an f3 of 38hz.
the pix are renderings and look too real.

Congratulations ! they look just gorgeous.
Would be nice to share the plans if free and give us some more speaker details.
Anyway , will be following this thread and can't wait to see the build...

You bet. Just got back from El Paso with all the parts for the cabs except for the plywood for the curved sides. All this for $193.00!!!
The veneer is on (thanks Adrain) and now I have the mount the feet brackets, the back plate with the signal posts and the 15v connections, the drivers, and the port tubes.
After all that I’ll clear coat them.

How tall are they Dennis? Scale is difficult to determine. Got any pics of you assembly processes?
No on the pix. A local cabinet make did the assembly and veneer. Here are dimensions.
Is that a sealed cabinet? Just wondering if a field coil speaker needs more ventilation or not. Or another question to ask is how much field coil power per driver?
Thanks
Thanks
They will be vented I just haven’t cut the holes yet. It will be a 4” hole in back and I will play with the length to get it right.
I have been struggling with placement of the vent pipe. I know I don’t want it on the front baffle but do I put it near the top behind the driver or down low near the floor? Any advice?
Looks great, what veneer is that? The veneer is on (thanks Adrain) and now I have the mount the feet brackets, the back plate with the signal posts and the 15v connections, the drivers, and the port tubes.

A simulation would solve that quickly, before you start cutting holes.I have been struggling with placement of the vent pipe. I know I don’t want it on the front baffle but do I put it near the top behind the driver or down low near the floor? Any advice?
