Suppliers inside EU borders

Looking for some suppliers inside the EU that sell components that I'm not able to buy in local stores.

I known that Mouser sends the components directly from the US, but I'm searching for EU based companies with an warehouse that would send the items solemnly from the EU

I was browsing Digikey (a Germany based company), but when in the shopping cart, they say that transit from the US might be delayed due to national holidays. So I wonder, are they a drop-shipping company?

I basically want to avoid customs, expensive shipping fees, and long transit waiting, and all the hustle of a regular import from the US

Can anyone give any insight about this matter?
Thanks in advance

I am not in Europe anymore, but someone's coming over and bringing the components to me and knowing that Mouser are fast, despite the fact they are expensive, turns out to be a win-win situation.

I haven't found Mouser to be expensive. They are sometimes a little less than Digikey.
But always check on the quantity pricing for each part. Sometimes more are cheaper than fewer.

That seems to be my experience too, but I have had a few surprises with duty when using DHL from China and the EU. The orders in question I think were generally over $100.00.
There used to be, but not anymore. For instance Denmark, which used to have a 15$ limit for hobbyists, but they lowered that
to zero. Like most EU countries. Only one I can think of is Norway, which still has a limit of 350 NOK, but Norway isn´t a member of EU.
So most EU countries pay VAT/Duty/Tax on even the smallest amount. Add to that, the postal services fee (Denmark) for doing the
VAT-calculation is around 25$, which now makes it totally rediculous to buy small amounts of anything from outside-EU-suppliers 😉

Newark Electronics does buisness in Europe as Farnell Global, with shipping from the UK and perhaps others countries as well.

In the USA they've been a trusted supplier with good inventories, service and reasonable prices for decades.

I didn't mention Farnell because the UK is no longer in the EU. In any case, they used not to sell anything to hobbyists, only to businesses.

Mouser is fairly expensive when you order things from the Netherlands. You don't get customs charges on top of what you pay to Mouser - maybe they increase the prices to cover customs charges? I don't know.

In fact, when you order something from Mouser via their Dutch site, there is always a note in Dutch printed at the bottom of the shipping list about the conditions of the besteling. They probably mean bestelling, Dutch for order, but it actually says besteling, theft.

That only applies if you let Postnord, DHL, FedEx etc. handle duty. Mouser and Digikey is DDP (Delivered Duty Paid) which means that they handle it, instead of the delivery company. You only have to pay VAT/moms.

In my experience Digikey and Mouser are very similar pricewise. Mouser is amazingly fast, like ordering late monday night, delivery early wednesday. That's from Texas->France->Denmark, with free shipping.

Besides the ones mentioned, Elfa Distrelec were once good too.
