Need a recommendation for a DPDT toggle switch

Hello all , I was wondering if there's any body on this site that can recommend a toggle switch for input switching. I've searched and can't find any results ....it needs to be able to go through a 10mm face place. All the one that I've found are too short. If the bushing was 0.75 inches it would be ok.

10mm panel will be tricky, the toggle mechanism is intrinsically limited in reach, a rotary switch is more likely to be available.

I've found the same thing. None will go through a 10 mm faceplate. You will have to drill a rebate large enough to accommodate the switch on the inside of the face plate.

That's the way to go, with a rebate on the back. Make sure the switch body clears the edge.

I just use a regular bit, but fat, like 1/2 or 9/16", and don't go too deep. Watch the depth; you don' t want the point making the base hole bigger! And then I trim up what I need using a Dremel tool. Luckily it only needs to look good on the front side!
I suppose a spade bit would fit better but those are not made for metal. Realistically such a rebate might best be done with a milling bit but I've never tried that. I have no milling machine or jig but I do have drill press I could try it with.

Carling definitely has some of that size. They are beefier and pricier though. They are usually used on guitar amps

My suggestion is look for dpdt toggle switch with M12(NKK) or 15/32"(C&K) bushing thread, they have the body diagonal sizes less 18.3mm.
A M12 (12.4mmx18.8mm DIA.) counter-bore bit will get the job done.
