I think we can find a middle ground between fault recognition and clinical depression, don’t you?Empathy is a personality trait. Not clear there is way to change personality traits much if any. Regarding recognizing one's own prejudices, people find it easy to see other people's faults, and are almost completely blind to their own. Recognizing one's own faults is associated with clinical depression, probably not a good state to put everyone in. OTOH good mental health is associated with an inflated view of oneself.
Its not clear that we can. As I said, we are pretty much blind to our own faults.I think we can find a middle ground between fault recognition and clinical depression...

Perhaps the stupid people are afraid of them and so jail them because they are too stupid to understand LMAO
Galileo Galilei was in a similar situation in his time because he was smarter than the Church at the time.
The church had to defend its teachings in order to preserve its authority.
Politics, that is. The church was the government.
Many in the church likely disagreed with some of the teachings but had to remain silent.
This was the case even in some early European settlements in North America.
Kinda like when T was drawing a circle on the weather map to prove he wasn't wrong.
Or the emperor's new clothes and all that.

I was educated to believe stupidity was not voluntary, but ignorance was. That's more ignorance than stupidity. All people are ignorant about most things. I certainly am.
Even scientists are ignorant about most known fields of science today.
Therefore someone who is (wilfully) ignorant != a stupid person.
In otherwords, ignorance is a choice, and stupidity isn't. The later based on cognative ability.
When Mom said "Don't be ignorant" she was implying that she had taught me better than that...
Yes, I know - I was oversimplifying...The church had to defend its teachings in order to preserve its authority.

Great solution: The different sound characters of complementary transistors modulate each half-wave. Result: A very homogeneous sound with respect to push-pull amplifiers. If you do use (2 x) one complementary pair for both stages. How about CFP .... what do you fancy about it?

I Asked it to explain the difference between ignorance and stupidity to a five year old. Here is the result:
"Ignorance means not knowing something because you haven't learned it yet. Stupidity means making a bad decision even though you know it's not a good idea. It's like not studying for a test (ignorance) versus cheating on the test (stupidity)."

Refuting disinformation requires much more effort than ‘filling the zone with sh*t’, unfortunately.Unfortunately, stupid is in the eye of the beholder. And everyone thinks they are above average.
Only the field of mathematics is anywhere close to dealing with "facts".
Most of what is thought of as "facts" is statistical. Even Ohm's law.
Also, ChatGPT just told me it couldn't explain the term "fuckery" because it was (after asking for clarification) sexual (it isn't sexual at all).
An area with much room for improvement, then. Its not clear that we can. As I said, we are pretty much blind to our own faults.
There is no way to learn all of human knowledge no matter how intelligent you are....ignorance is a choice...
If Musk can get his brain implants working, somebody may figure out how to make us do or be whatever they want. Otherwise what you are suggesting is probably not going to happen. An area with much room for improvement, then.
Suppose one of your faults is that you are overconfident you are right about what you have just been arguing? How would you feel if you were to suddenly see that? Would it be disappointing?
I think I'm annoying sgpt...
I asked it to explain where babies come from (which is sexual) and it gave me code padded by an answer...

Code:
"
""""
"
Babies are typically conceived when a sperm from a male fertilizes an egg from a female during sexual intercourse. The fertilized egg then implants itself in the uterus and begins to develop into a fetus. The fetus grows and develops over the course of approximately nine months until it is ready to be born.

Horsepoop! We're talking about machines, not people! There is no way to learn all of human knowledge no matter how intelligent you are.
We will not be capable of using AI responsibly until we grapple with these issues, IMHO.
There is no way to learn all of human knowledge no matter how intelligent you are.
That stopped being possible for people even before the printing press was invented.
Even understanding all known languages was impossible over a thousand years ago.
There should always be a backdoor programmed into AI.

so we can turn it off if it becomes a real life version of the Terminator movies...

Then probably never. We will not be capable of using AI responsibly until we grapple with these issues...
Except if intelligent enough it will eventually figure out how to prevent that plan from working. There should always be a backdoor programmed into AI.
