What is The Meaning of Life?

I thought we were discussing ai and it's capabilities and it upper hand over human biological being. And you don't have to tell me what I delete. I just wanted to skip some posts really. I didn't have any Ill intentions.
Now Here me out
If your computer tell you I don't want to switch off everytime you try to switch it off will you consider it as a sentient beings.
And If you do switch it off somehow. What garantee you that the computer you switch off before is the same computer you will switch on later on. And not a clone of what it was in the past.

Indeed Galu, the issue also has been expressed as "life is a zero sum game". What might matter is how the "memory balloon of events" empties. A recent (accidental) discovery was that the dying person showed the signs of REM sleep IOW "the final dream". However for those having found the experiential answer to the (still popular in parts of Asia) question "who am I?" that might be different.

Interesting. I've been "dead" twice and remember one. I "remember" my life flashing before me in an instant, and I remember thinking about family and loved ones, pondering how they will take the news of my demise. I fully accepted that I was passing away without fear. In fact, I experienced no emotion at all; just memories.

I remember my last field of vision fading to white, one dot at a time. I could hear but not understand anything. Then, my experience of life just vanished, to be abruptly rekindled a couple days later. I didn't know if a day had passed or a decade.

I think these ersatz memories are artifacts of the last ditch effort of the brain to preserve life in a crisis. Unnecessary parts of the brain are shut down to keep the rest running. In fact we know that before the brain shuts down we often go into agonal breathing aka "death rattle" which sometimes revives the person.

NDE (Near Death Experiences) happen often enough to get noticed and many of them defy currently accepted logic. For me the most interesting cases are that as a figure of speech, the faculty of sight becomes mobile and "near death" people can observe what for instance those involved in the operation (hospital setting) can't see. So verification is possible, has been done and such observations can be correct.
