Re the price - an Omicron SMT board with all SMT parts pre-soldered will cost $100, including about $30 in parts. You'd need to add relays, electrolytic caps, film caps for the crosfeed (if using) and connectors (if using) - the total cost of parts that are not included would be about $10. I updated the first post in this thread, too.
