I was inspired by jmascreen’s efforts and installed the passive crossover from my Vanguard speaker into the foamcore TL. It went inside without a hitch and now using RST28F tweeters with DC130A-8. The speaker sounds great. Very nice balance overall and great bass.
This definitely deserves to be made in wood.

Sorry for the delayed response, got busy listening to them 🙂 Here are the imagesHi Jmascreen,
Do you have some more photos of the build of your speakers showing how you did the j get al TL channels etc? The speakers look great. Also, a shot showing the details of the front baffle. Did you recess the driver plate on the tweeter and woofer? Also, are you using the passive XO or doing this actively?
Thanks,
X
Thanks for sharing. They look great and I like your attention to details like the radiused exit vent, the rebates, and the internal damping foam. I bet they sound great.

Can I swap the drivers directly without any changes to enclosure also any changes to crossover?View attachment 1120637
Trying out a new woofer.

SB13PFC25-08 sounds very good. Great bass extension.
Congratulations and best luck for the commercial version of it. I am sure this will be going to sound fantasticI’m using a different XO but you can try. It might be close because similar 8ohms and sensitivity. Sorry I can’t help with anymore details as this will be a commercial product soon.
any YouTube upload to get a taste ?I’m using a different XO but you can try. It might be close because similar 8ohms and sensitivity. Sorry I can’t help with anymore details as this will be a commercial product soon.
For now, happy new year.

Do you think that the Mark Audio CHP-90 could "play" in this enclosure ?Yes, video is with SB13PFC drivers.

The TS parameters are similar in Fs, Qts, Sd, but Vas of CHP-90 is a bit bigger. It would probably work ok but I can’t guarantee if it will be optimal. Of course, you are on your own with the crossover.
One good thing working on your favor is that it’s a wideband driver so the breakup behavior is very controlled and the crossover should be simple.

I intend to try it as fullrange widening the enclosure a little ( to 7" maybe) and I will see. So = 35inch 2 and maybe it works .The TS parameters are similar in Fs, Qts, Sd, but Vas of CHP-90 is a bit bigger. It would probably work ok but I can’t guarantee if it will be optimal. I don't get "encouraging" results 🙁 . I dug these out of my closet. I'll probably install them (new baffle of course) & see what I can do with the crossoverThat might work - give it a bit more volume.

Do you have a TL cabinet built and you tested the woofers in them? How do you mean you are not getting encouraging results?
