New Lii-Audio “Fast-15” - anyone hear these yet?

Well, depending on which driver one is looking at: the common F-18 was offered at Taobao for around $(US)130,- per piece, on websites that are accessible from Europe we are talking double (plus shipping, of course). And so far there is no "independent" verification that Lii Song units really sound inferior 🤔

After asking at lii-audio.com, within 24 hours I received this reply:

“Thank you very much for your interest in our products. Unfortunately this is not our product and should be that of our ex-partner with whom we ended partnership since late 2019.

We have been and are focusing on development of full range speakers.

Best regards,

Weiyu ZHANG
Hangzhou Lii Song Electronics Co., Ltd.”

I still don’t know who offers a better product but it seems that Mr. ZHANG may have good customer support and is serious about business..
I like the ex-partner...Lii Audio is 10-20 peoples company with inhouse factory...what this guy is talking about.
The least he could have done to sustain this story is create a completely different brand name, with different product line.

I did not but there is other valid chinese brands out there. This aliexpress store sell some valid stuff. I met a small company before called L.Cao rebranded Audio Crafts also doing some very nice amplifiers (tubes) and speaker drivers.
L.Cao famous company but they have small diameters of full range speakers,Fs is high. For good bass and high sensitivity I prefer full range 12-15 inch, Fs=25-35 , Qts about 0.5

Bears a mild resemblance to the very smoothed measurement on Li Song Canada's blog.

I like graphs as well as the next man. But I know they cannot tell you everything about how a speaker or OB will sound in your system and room.
you want to argue about how they can't possibly sound good? go to a forum where people actually own the Fast-15 and/or have heard them - not just looking at a frequency graph: https://www.decware.com/cgi-bin/yabb22/YaBB.pl?num=1658916276/241#241
Everyone has different equipment (amps) and tastes in what kind of sound they like - wrt frequency balance/extension, imagining, realism, etc., etc.

more, very interesting

Lii Audio/Lii Song F15 Tested!!

btw this video is about the F15. The OP of this thread was asking about the Lii Fast 15 which is a newer and a completely different driver from the F15.
On top of that, (and even more confusing) the driver in the above YT video is a "Lii song F15" not "Lii Audio".
see the YT reviewers' pinned comment...

"I want to address the comments regarding the authenticity of the drivers I have. I have Lii Song branded drivers. These are supposedly fakes..."

humm to new to tell as that a simple to BAD frequency isn't important--- here at diyaudio we build speaker for more of 35y

yep, time will tell. And Steve Deckert owner of Decware has been building speakers and tube amps for over 35y also 😉
And he seems to be pretty honest. Even he made a comment about the frequency issues of the Fast-15 (with his tube gear).
I think (not sure) he might be using now a correction circuit with the Lii Fast-15 driver he talks about here: https://www.decware.com/cgi-bin/yabb22/YaBB.pl?num=1658916276/159#159

I'm not sure which company is making this Fast-15 with the yellow suspension he's using... is it "Lii Audio" or is it "Lii Song" ???

Never wrote anything about their sound as I haven't heard them. The graph comment was to suggest Lii Song wasn't completely misrepresenting the driver.
Regarding Lii Audio vs Lii Song, as far as the West is concerned there's no way to see the former, buy them or hear them. They don't functionally exist. May as well be discussing ghosts so their extended defence here is growing curious.

From the green decal on the back of the driver it looks like he/Decware and their forum commenters are using the "Lii Song" Fast-15 which is using the ugly yellow (IMO) colored suspension.

I'm personally not really interested in the story/drama around which company is the real or fake Lii audio. But the naming confusing is a PITA.

OK. didn't mean to put words in your mouth. So for the most part then, we can assume that 90% or more of the time people are talking about "Lii Song" drivers then.
