I didn't make any personal attack to anyone. If you can't read properly go to school! Old people are taught for free to read and write if illiterate.
This is not my complaint, I have no product of Mr Pass, I don't sell anything on diyaudio , nor I do sell any audio product anywhere, except repaired vintage radios in a second hand shop.
And NO, anyone in the EU can go to a buyer's protection authority and ask for legal inquiry into the quality of a product.Metrologic bulletins can be issued for free at the State's request if it's the case.If the issue is found to be true, that can lead straight to a court of law where the State itself will take legal action against any private manufacturer . If not, the guy who complained will pay for the cost of the metrologic bulletin. This action can lead to a company being completely forbiden to sell anything in that country for a period of time until the product sales conformity is achieved, fine is paid and the plaintif is vindicated. Then the case can be reffered to an EU authority who can prevent those product from entering the entire EU area. Fines can be applied to the seller if found guilty at any time by the State itself then by the EU authorities too .You don't wanna know how many they are once they are triggered... The plaintif will only pay for the metrologic legal inquiry if found wrong.
So why don't you do that? You seem to be very unhappy with the situation - do something about it. Complaining on forums does not make positive changes in the world. But YOU can!

This thread's subject is quite uninteresting to me. Amp manufacturers lie, it's the rule rather than the exception. Particularly about class A power. All sorts of inventions and patents proving that something which isn't quite class A can be marketed as class A. Or something that isn't quite single ended...

This is old and boring as the mountains. The bipolar reactions here, otoh, are very entertaining. 🙂

Not many manufacturers have this approcah to their products. On top of that, it seems like a gentlemen's response.

The second-hand ones can not be found that easily, which tells a lot about how good these amps are:

What's in it for me?

You could build one of the FW clones. Design, PCBs, matched JFETs... are all available due to the warm-heartedness of Mr Pass and the "backstage" crew who work hard to make all this possible. See what the buzz is about; you'll gain an appreciation for the people behind Pass Labs and First Watt and their followers.

Was I promoted to the "Savior of the world" status ? Does this status pay a percentage of PL sales too 🙂

I do not think that you are required to save the world, at this stage. Maybe in the next decade or so... but not for the time being. However, I do have a hard time explaining to my kids why my amp draws 200W from the grid at all times.

So yes, things may change in the near feature.

you do not want to look at the whole video you can start at 15:00 minutes
Guy, who brags about greatness of class D amplifiers, apparently to curry greenie favour, has little to none credibility.
Instead of bla bla bla emotions as usual of audiophiles some actual info could of been presented like methodology, equipment used, video of measurements itself, waveforms of grid voltages and DC bus ones if apparently so relevant and so on and so forth.
That's said used opened vine bottle allegory is quite fine.

What's in it for you? Well, you can be proud of ridding an evil from the world. Unless that doesn't interest you. In which case I'm wondering why you're constantly complaining about PL's evil doings.

I am not the one complaining here of anything...My tone can be read as too tough for some people, I am not the most agreable person on Earth, but the one who made a complaint is found in the first post of this thread and IT'S NOT ME fortunately!...
I just answered some issues that I thing are wrong, I also invited the OP to technically prove his worries to himself and everyone.
If you think otherwise you can tell why I am wrong instead of telling things about me.
Here lies a very important take on the CE stamp problem:
https://www.diyaudio.com/community/...gs-of-pass-x600-5.391805/page-16#post-7173150
There are a few posts where I even agreed on the fact that the EU requirement upon the 70 watts thing should not apply to audio equipment for a few reasons , the same as we allow 1930's collection cars to run on the EU roads without modern times permits and adaptations...
Yet I strongly affirmed there's a legal danger with false declarations if proven , same as in the Dieselgate thing where Wolkswagen had to pay 30 billion dollars in fines and a big chunk of it to US customers .
Try being objective and good things will happen!

In the other forum section, not long ago, my response to @dreamth:

Nothing has changed since then. 🙄
Thanks for bringing that topic back to my attention even though it's offtopic...just another place where I was quoted for things said by others in poat #2...anyway, in post 2 of that thread someone already gave the credit for your class A application...while others preffered to bragg about the superior sound of syncronous rectification...As always some people are spot on others are quoting the wrong people or just out of context...

Off topic
Assuming most cargo is distributed by diesel powered trucks running almost 24/7/365 instead of an hour a day for personal cars, it's yet another example of "fair play in a free market". Just because we can... and nothing is what Germans can. Cheers!
Now add to it that half of this fine was paid by an EU company to the USA and its citizens after a consortium of american car manufacturers made the complaints against an EU company faking emissions results and think of any possible political revenge if things go wrong 😉

Or just how expired after they sold out?!...Besides when big economical crises approach all expensive sales without long term value get frozen....Art and 1930's cars sells better now!
In case you didn't know, audio electronics is one of the worst long term investment possible! A 1963 car sold for 70 million dollars! Cars don't need a recap and dry hot weather can only help preserving them!
I am not an expert in Mr Pass products, maybe there are others who sell better...
I have 30 years old Siemens 550uF/600Vdc flash capacitors that measure as new while they spent 20 years unused in a basement ...Why would such a respectable audio amplifier loose its waranty after 7 years ? Bryston amplifiers have a warranty of "just" 20 years which is transferable to a new owner if the amplifier was bought from an authorized dealership!

And the history of Bryston's 20 years warranty:
https://www.audiocircle.com/index.php?topic=170655.0

Nelson has donated so many hard-to-obtain transistors to DIY-ers on these forums for free. He's personally put together many kits and made them available to this community to learn, build and enjoy the sound. He's shared FW designs and has guided many of us. He also promotes electronics to all generations, irrespective of the prior knowledge one may or may not possess. He likes to share, help, guide and educate - that sits firmly at the very top of the Maslow pyramid. I am grateful for this and I pay respect, duly deserved.

I am pretty sure that Pass Labs wouldn't charge anything either, if one of their amps was sent back for fine-tuning/adjustment and/or repair, out of warranty period.

As they (Wayne and Nelson) pointed to you on so many occasions, they do stand behind their products... but your agenda is blinding you completely from seeing the obvious.
