Just in case anyone doesn't know ... Bart Sibrel is the guy Buzz Aldrin PUNCHED after Sibrel accused him of faking the Moon landing thing. This was what, 20 or so years ago. It looks like the only current video of the event on Youtube is on Sibrel's channel, so I won't link to it.

Yes and he did produce some convincing incidents. As did the silence here when I produced Neil Armstrong’s narration of the so called lunar descent. The “dust that flew up” wasn’t from McEnroe’s tennis ball.

Oh pleeez! 🙄 Do get your facts right. There was no "silence", as the search function of this forum clearly testifies! 😉

Firstly, it was Buzz Aldrin's narration of the descent, not Neil Armstrong's! Secondly, there was no mystery regarding the behaviour of the dust.

Below is what Buzz actually said in his narration. He didn't say "dust that flew up", but "dust that was sprinkling out". I explained that this dispersal pattern was due to the fact that, in the vacuum, the normally narrow exhaust jet of the descent engine quickly fanned out into a wide cone shape.

"Just before touch down we could see the shadow of the Sun behind us (uh, uh,) casting a shadow against some of the dust that was sprinkling out that almost obscured our vision, but still let us look at little clumps and mounds so we could see whether we were moving over the surface or not."

I did watch it, remember? Doesn't matter at all which one did the narrating, that's clearly irrelevant. The "dust flew up" was a rhetorical and very comical analogy( 😆 ).

"Sprinkling out"? Really? From where? "Almost obscuring our vision", enough dust to "cast a shaddow" Oh, but not a speck of anything found it's way onto those beautifully clean golden pods. Amazing! The little goblin from that Twilight Zone episode must've blown it off. 😉

Is space being created or simply being stretched?

Just as we do not create more rubber when we stretch a rubber band, no more empty space is created when the universe expands.

There isn't some physical mechanism that is causing expansion by "creating" space.

The expansion is governed by equations of motion inherent in the Einstein field equations. I'll refrain from once again mentioning the "metric"! 😉
