The genesis for the planet 9 hypothesis came about from the observation that the sun’s rotational axis is tilted at quite a few degrees off that of the solar system’s orbital plane. It’s unlikely that the sun’s rotational axis could tilt that much of its own accord, so the researchers involved in the study hypothesised that a large object on a highly elliptical orbit well beyond that of a Pluto ‘tipped’ the orbit of the planets wrt to sun’s rotational axis. Interestingly, Pluto’s orbit is tipped markedly from the solar system’s orbital plane by 11 degrees - exactly what one would expect with a large body orbiting well beyond its orbit.

An interesting hypothesis - let’s see what happens over the next few years! Will they find it?

I mentioned Planet Nine way back on page #162.

The predicted orbit of Planet Nine is about 20 times further on average than Neptune, making it hard to find. If it is presently at its furthest point in its highly elliptical orbit it will be exceedingly dim, and even more difficult to spot because the brightness of the Milky Way galaxy is in the background.

Failure to detect light from Planet Nine leads to the possibility that it is a black hole. If so, it is only the size of a grapefruit and only 5 to 10 Earth masses. Observing its gravitational lensing effects would be extremely unlikely even if we knew exactly where to look.

It's possible that we could detect the accretion flares which would result when small bodies in the outskirts of the solar system approach the black hole - a job for the Vera C. Rubin Observatory. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Vera_C._Rubin_Observatory

As far as I know, Disco-Pete is a Canadian. And a VERY poor Physicist or Mathematician, IMO. Sorry.

TBH, Canada is a hotly disputed Province lying between France and the UK. France is a fading Country IMO. How it is.

It is no surprise the the the UK has won more Nobel Prizes per Capita of Population than any other Country of the World.

Not sure where I am going on this, but Disco-Pete's current hero is this ludicrous man:

I think he is telling us the Apollo Moon landings never happened... I mean REALLY?

The mark of a liar is that he scratches his face, whilst telling lies, Get it? 😎
