Will these Audiophile Speaker brands EVER introduce open baffle models? And if you think no, why?

When designed right they don't sound like speakers, they sound like the real thing (or at the least, the recording).

They take no time to get used to. This is sensitive to setup and I can't say I have high confidence in them being set up reliably in a showroom for a show.

Ob would be cheaper to manufacture due to fewer materials and cheaper to ship for obvious reasons.
If those manufacturers thought their customers might buy, they'd be on that like white on rice.
No conspiracy necessary.
I know what I tend to like and it historically hasn't been open baffle.

Reggae is not compatable with open baffle... Some music is, but not Reggae.
It absolutely is of you do it right. I have open baffles and I do like dub-reggae a lot and it sounds big, bold, powerfull, with very deep low-end extension. It Just takes lots of moving area and powerfull well controlled woofers. I am using twin 15 inch in a w-frame for low bass plus 15 inch bass-mid. Most People Who have heard this systeem are mostly suprised by the sheer impact and definition of the bass. No, a single 15 inch woofer on a minimal baffle does't cut it of that is what you are referring to.

My wife's tolerated OB for the last 5 years. Won't go back to a box speaker. We swap top hats monthly.
