That‘s extremely interesting, isn’t it. The vehicles are reported as, not producing a sonic boom though traveling well in excess of Mach 1. While some shapes, such discs and cigars should be aerodynamic, other shapes have been reported that would seem highly not to be. Such as, a cube. Also, they are reported as traveling at high velocity while submerged, and being able to enter water at a high velocity in direct transition from atmospheric traveI. I suppose, if they have the technology exists to nullify inertia (seemingly impossible), they also have the technology to nullify friction (seemingly impossible). Bizarre reports, though. Needlessly so, for making a hoax. It just calls further in to question an eye-witnesses’ report.

All kinds of interesting questions start popping up when you start pondering what exactly a "spaceship" is.
We don't think of it that much, or at all, because we know what WE need a ship for. Theoretically it should be shelter for occupants, some storage, life support, energy source and engine.
Now most UFO are in one of two categories. Either smaller "drone" type presumably without inhabitants or larger with inhabitants. For some reason or another these "beings" are similar in size to us, not orders of magnitude larger or smaller. Curiously they are pretty close to what we know intelligent life is. Never seen a Tinkerbell sized version, with relatively sized ship.
If they have the tech to reach us even from closer solar systems, why would they need a ship at all? Why not some type of protective costume and nothing more. Why would their very advanced power source/engine have to fit in a classical UFO size and not a type of spacesuit? Or maybe some coffin/pod type deal? Why do we suppose they'd need to move about in a ship, or need/have storage? Why would that storage be similar to ours? Maybe they can store stuff in some extra small spatial dimension. Why wouldn't they just teleport in a gas-station toilet but yet ride with spaceships? All these are interesting questions. Because if they don't care about inertia then a whole rabbit hole of questions opens.

Yeah I never really considered sadistic aliens. Or maybe hunting/training grounds.
I think there's a theory where there's little to no privacy in the universe, and an attack on us would look bad for other aliens watching. So nobody acts reckless without very strong motives.
You mean how at least one large democracy has sat on the sidelines during the Special Operation in Europe?
nah, don’t rely on bystanders to give a crap.

On milky way yes but universe is (i presume) hugely huge.

I remember a Steven Hawkins serie of documentary * ( on Disney chanel?) where some experimenters tryed to figure out in real life the number of stars within it:
they were into a sand quary and what started with buckets ended with bulldozer piling tons and tons of sand...

Of course each grains of sand represented a sun and potentiality of life emerging. Once facing this, statisticaly it seems highly unlikely life on earth is an exception into universe.

But that a ( or many) civilisation have reached a point where they can freely travel into space is another issue.

Carl Sagan's cosmic calendar, the fact that our civilisation had more technical advance in the last 200 years than over his previous entire existence... maybe they are already here after all! :)

* such a popularizer debunking serie! From 'flat earther' to matter self organisation exposed in simple experiments... this should be mandatory to everyone to watch it!
The current estimates are one technologically advanced civilisation per galaxy. Although it seems that with 200 billion stars in a typical galaxy, there should be intelligent life everywhere, the torturous and arbitrary biological path we took to arrive at where we are makes the odds of intelligent life quite minuscule. Then comes the fact that for a star to support the emergence of life, let alone intelligent life, it has to have very specific properties.

The end destination of evolution is not intelligence and that is a trap many alien visitation ‘believers’ fall into. Evolution simply fills every available niche and for much of the time, not for very long as organisms are quickly pushed out and replaced.

So, all these stories of visitations, alien craft etc are nonsense. Not one decent photo, not one decent artifact- nothing. And if there is an intelligent civilisation on every galaxy, how do they span the 2-3 MLY between each one at the minimum?

On the contrary, your statement is based on belief and probability math with assumed values (shall we call that nonsense), where no one really knows what is actual intelligent life occurrence rate in universe. Putting aside all probabilities, there was too many reliable sightings and witnesses. For any known story, I’m sure there is hundred unknown ones. Artifacts? Any artifact will, by all means necessary, end in government hands.

I shared here my father’s experience. To my knowledge that is single unique direct observation of alien probes, Foo Fighters, made from very close distance and for several days. He was able to follow them by foot and observe. There is no one in the world who could wash my brain with probability math, philosophical dilemmas or opinions that UFOs are not here, as ‘there is no proof’. Right.

I’m sure you would feel the same if member of your family had such an undeniable experience.

No one here is denying UFOs exist.
