It would be a massive shock for mankind: the whole system of belief on our cultures would probably collapse.

Maybe not for some cultures (Hawaiians, some Native Americans) but overall it would be huge mess calling into question our social organisations, beliefs, etc,etc,...

Such rejoicing scenario! 🤣

As long as we have records of Slim Whitman's 'indian love song' we are safe!

It all makes sense: we are at the avant garde relative to protecting mankind in there building TT, digital players, preamp, amplifier and loudspeakers!
We deserve more recognition for our work! :D

Well i disagree rdf, media just reflect the interest of a culture at a given moment: in 19th century people were into spirit, ghosts, communicating with the dead...

If our 21th century and 19th century interest where prooven both would question the 'political' parts of religious systems ( mass control through a set of moral rules): how would you think people would react to this? Do you think it won't be questioned ( violently)?

We often talk about alien enslaving humanity but we don't need them, we are already very good at it through our social organisation!

No reason to accept my opinion for it, you've already seen a live experiment. Top American government and military authorities very recently 'revealed' aliens are real and here. They gave their evidence. It didn't generate a fraction the interest of the Heard/Depp trial.

Well even if i like all that entertainment relative to ufo i think most of us are not that naive anymore: smoke curtain to cover... whatever paranoia bring to our mind! Still no real undisputable evidence though. Only some blabla and poor video from technically advanced organisation... in age of gopro 4k and Fantom camera.
Sounds like Roswell incident and brain washing to me. That won't say military don't have to deal with unknown phenomena though.

Heard/Deep trial are far more interesting to generate profit and identify yourself and generate data to manipulate through social network ... 😱 '1984' for real!

I'm more terrified by that than aliens.

I can't really think of any strong reasons for that. It implies we'd have something they'd want. And if they're able to come here I'm not really sure what they'd need from us, that they already don't have/can't make for themselves. Maybe we could offer entertainment for super-bored aliens, at most.

Why always have reasons to act? :)
ET are super vilain by nature! Tim Burton warned us! ;)

Seriously, it is more a mirror of our fears and our 'deep nature' than anything else to me. We are the monsters to fear ( and with 6000 years of written history we have reasons to fear ourself imho).

Yes most likely. We tend to stress on whatever brings us joy or pain. Not many theories on disinterested aliens.
Your statement is also true for AI which is still a sort of alien.

One thing I don't fully understand, why would their ships ignore inertia but not air friction? Most designs I saw are aerodynamic.
That‘s extremely interesting, isn’t it. The vehicles are reported as, not producing a sonic boom though traveling well in excess of Mach 1. While some shapes, such discs and cigars should be aerodynamic, other shapes have been reported that would seem highly not to be. Such as, a cube. Also, they are reported as traveling at high velocity while submerged, and being able to enter water at a high velocity in direct transition from atmospheric traveI. I suppose, if they have the technology exists to nullify inertia (seemingly impossible), they also have the technology to nullify friction (seemingly impossible). Bizarre reports, though. Needlessly so, for making a hoax. It just calls further in to question an eye-witnesses’ report.
