Sheesh. As long as I don't light a fire without informing the local Country Fire Authority volunteers first, I can do pretty much anything here, right down to running a whorehouse. Not that there's any market for that in my town, with the average age being well north of 50.
Three words: Ranch-style whorehouse.
(i.e. It could still work, as long as there aren't a lot of stairs involved.)

A 2008 Peugeot 207 1.6L manual convertible. I've decided the Alfa 147 deserves a full restoration before use, and my old truck has to come off the road for rust repairs, so this will be a daily driver. 157,800 km on the clock. AU$2,250 and it will be delivered later in the week with safety check papers allowing immediate registration.

Bought a 2001 Honda Civic with a 5 speed manual.
Auto theft has skyrocketed in the Denver area. This car has theft deterrent features like scratches on the body, manual transmission.
No immobilizer module though. You find the dealer plays stick up when the ignition key no longer works.

Got a cover over the catalytic converter? Usually they won't steal a manual shift car, they don't know how to drive it.
It seems they have moved on to drilling holes in the gas tanks. So far none of my cars have been targeted for either. Keeping them good and ugly helps.Got a cover over the catalytic converter? Usually they won't steal a manual shift car, they don't know how to drive it.
One of those 'MCS TV Component' things from JC Penney - a 5" monochrome TV component with R and L audio inputs to make a representation of a waveform on the CRT. From the late 1980s perhaps? MCS was pretty decent stuff for inexpensive stereos. JCPenney didn't make it -it's Japanese. It needs some work on the scope portion but the tube and main stuff is working. Here is what it should look like when working properly as a "power meter".
Kenwood made the KC-6060A, audio lab scope for consumer use, but the MCS was for the po' folks. It'll be fun. Also, with NTSC standard it will show video and works with an ATSC converter like any old TV set..
Also a bunch of H/P rackmount analog scopes at auction, all the type capable of easy X-Y display. Three will probably find their way into the system. They are all stacked up in the garage at the moment and it's 105 degrees.. but here is the list and representative images. They all need some work. Usually it is power supply caps on them.
1) HP 120B
5) HP 122AR
3) HP 130C

More stuff from a neighborhood next to mine. An older community and a lot are heading for warmer/sunny/dry weather.
Grand total - $20 bucks T-Saw/power washer free
The chain-saw, only used once. it came with a extra chain and other accessories
46cc, and it started right up. I went and flush-cut a large stump in the backyard - very nice, lots of power!
Power washer works fine, belt sander new.

Yeah, it's amazing how safe a manual transmission is these days. My Alfa has peeling clear coat, so pretty much the same deterrents as yours.Bought a 2001 Honda Civic with a 5 speed manual.

It's a pity women don't apply the same logic, I might have had a chance to marry. A bit late now though. It seems they have moved on to drilling holes in the gas tanks. So far none of my cars have been targeted for either. Keeping them good and ugly helps.
The MO around here is: steal keys, steal car, commit (another) crime, abandon car (with probable severe damage), repeat. It seems they have moved on to drilling holes in the gas tanks. So far none of my cars have been targeted for either. Keeping them good and ugly helps.
