Best electrolytic capacitors

There's some stock as for now but ultimately doomed. "End of Life: Scheduled for obsolescence and will be discontinued by the manufacturer. "
Noooooooooooo!!! Time to hoard? Or do they decrease in quality as they sit on the shelf for years decades (I'm 36 and don't plan on giving up this hobby any time soon) to the point that I'd be better off just getting Nichicon KZs for future products?

I'd rather not buy a bunch to hoard and prevent other from actually using them if they're going to end up drying out over time.

I have no hope for the Elnas. (As in good riddance). Don’t worry, I’ll cry and weep over many others parts.

If all someone does is look at specs they are cheap and lazy. I’ve spent hundreds, if not many thousands of hours comparing capacitors. Making any kind of attempt for unknown variables is science - no matter how weak of a method.

Put it another way… I wouldn’t take dating advice from a guy who has never spoke to a woman.

Let's hope there will be a Silmic III :)

Yeah... right... wishful thinking
1. Products to be discontinued
In recent years, following products is very difficult to predict the demand trends so we have not increased the production capacity.
It is also very difficult to fulfill the supply responsibilities due to the decline of the productivity from the production facilities deterioration and due to the difficulties of the material procurement.
Therefore, we would like to announce the termination on the products following the schedule described in the “3. Discontinued date”.
We regret any inconvenience this announcement may cause,
Please contact our local sales representative if you have any questions.
2. Discontinued products
Aluminum electrolytic capacitors Series : RFS, ROA, R2O
3. Discontinued date
Last order date : 30. Sep. 2022

No, I have no hope for that...

Pan. FR & FS have not the M marking; Notice Pan NHG has it. Maybe the plant where it is fabricated ?

...that is the time your brain takes to accomodate...
why is it people think that we have sophisticated levels of being fooled or misled ? Surely we should all buy poor sounding crap and convince ourselves over many hours it sounds great. But alas it doesn’t 🙄 if you can’t discern changes then your in trouble with any audio assessment. Modded existing new and anything in between

diyiggy, I thought you knew everything about capacitors, the letter M on FC or some other older series signifies the manufacturer and that is Matsushita Electric Industrial Co., Ltd and since 2008 it has been called Panasonic Corporation.
By the way, Kōnosuke Matsushita founded the company in 1918.

I thougth Matsushita international code was MA! So clearly I know nothing... I just use caps and listen to them... read the datasheet...rest is cut in 4 hair for me as who controll who...I stopped doin Fus. Ac long time ago. If the Fr is made in Micronesia oem by Jamicon with 20 % of a Russia California joint venture called MicroZoft...then it is ok with me.

I went to the Nichicon web site, no indication of UES on the chopping block. Mouser does not show NRFD status either, showing many types on order, some delivery in 2023 :)
As for the rest I did not look.
In the past I have seen Nichicon reduce the available types in a series, like offering a 1uF UKL in the higher voltages only.
I am still surprised there is more selection in tht vs smt to this day
