Entropy is defined by dS = dQ / T
Entropy increase is known as disorder increase.
I do not know how they prove this disorder bit.

I don't know why really, but I just checked my yellowing 1977 Physics Degree course documentation, and I have second year "PH212 FURTHER THERMODYNAMICS: LOW TEMPERATURE PHYSICS". 😀

I am pretty sure the arrangement of pieces on a Chess board has nothing to do with order and disorder. Because they have no Physical interaction to change the state of order or disorder.
One arrangement is as likely as any other. Just that we prefer the usual conventional starting position of the Black and White pieces. White's King on the right as White sees it.
However a box of fixed size containing Petrol and Air is not in equilibrium. It will catch fire eventually, and release Heat. And "Heat is Work and Work is Heat" as my good Physics teacher would frequently say.
But after that it should be in Equilibrium at a higher temperature. I think at that point, no increase in Entropy is possible unless you expand the box. It is closed system of fixed size in equilibrium. There is nothing more to know about it in Information terms.
You could also imagine a closed box containing water and a vacuum. The water can evaporate into a state of water and water vapour. Which I think would cool things down.

Order declines into Disorder in the long run. Why? Because we are not in a State of Equilibrium. This is a changing Universe.

I have a second year College qualification called "M211 Vector Algebra". Albeit only a 1/4 Course Unit out of the 12 units required. TBH, I was getting fed up with Maths at that stage.
I have always detested Physics Vectors and Axes. They only work in 3 dimensions.

It should be noted that water vapor is an exceedingly potent greenhouse gas. However, it is transitory and lasts only for a few hours and therefore has a very specific function in the Earth’s overall temperature regulation mechanism. Not so CO2 of which 80% is removed in 100-200 yrs, but the remaining 20% hangs around for 200k plus years.
