Yikes! Will I be judged for jumping in here with a change of topic?
Not that there is anything wrong with pen holding.
It is simply that member lcsaszar's post#3,036 brought to my attention his avatar graphic, which is, I assume, an example of the graphic art found on the tops of tins of gramophone needles - from a time when recorded music could be reproduced without AC or DC.
Whatever the case, gramophone needles were packaged in small tins adorned with wonderful graphics and lcsaszar's avatar reminded me of that

Found this afterwords. "Treadmills lasted in England until the late 19th century when they were banned for being excessively cruel. In 1911, a treadmill patent was registered in the U.S. and now we pay a monthly fee to use ’em."
Those prisoners would've gotten stronger legs. 🤔

A liter of gazoline holds about 10kWh of thermal energy from which an engine gives from 2 to 4 kWh mechanical energy.
You'll need 30 men over an hour for the equivalent of 1 liter of fuel.
But back in those days, steam engine was the dominant mechanical power source. One can expect 100 Watt per man.
