Use cable ties to mount the components so they are not glued down with hot melt. Easily interchangeable.

Cable ties are definitely the way to go.
For me it's more the component wiring connections.
Solderless wiring until establishing which way to go.
Ensuring good electrical connection without compromising the actual wires.
Crocodile clips/leads can be useful for temporary connections, and for testing. They are designed to bite past dirt and corrosion on the surface when used sensibly, to make a usable connection.
