IT WORKS!
Replaced the .47 resistors and not an amp where the outputs are shorted to ground.
Now I need to take it off the bench and see how it sounds.
Again Ben Mah thanks for all the help.

The amp sounds wonderful with my little full range Fostex 3” speakers, with subs.
There should be a law about amps using resistors with the numbers 4 and 7. You use .47 here and 47 over there. A good rule of thumb is to read twice and solder once.

Look at the schematic, measure with a meter, twice, look at the schematic again. Then place and solder. That's what I do.🙂
Congratulations wg45…nicely put together!
I have been in love with my F2J monoblocks since I finished them about two years ago.
They really are remarkable with full range drivers.
I’m currently using mine to drive some Lii Audio Crystal 10 drivers in open baffles.
They really bring out the best in them and have done the same for all the full range drivers I have tried.
I like them so much that I chose them over my vfet amp in this system.

Nice goin' wg45! Another F2J is born.
Super cool monoblocks Chromenuts 😉
Would anyone have an extra set of F2/F2J boards available??

Wg45,
Congratulations on the build. The F2J has been my favorite amp. It got more enjoyable for me when I added the BA3 preamp.

I think I might have another set of boards, but no power supply.
Send me a PM and I'll check.

Yeah, me too. Having a current source amp for open baffle FR drivers is special. I had no idea until I ran across an F1J. Which led to an F2J.
Next up is an F3. I'm interested to see how it compares.
Slowly working my way up the First Watt tree.....

This was my intention as well, but my impulsive tendencies kind of have me bouncing all over the place.
So far that took me through a gainclone, F2Js, ACAs and the recent VFET P channel amp that I lucked out on.
I’m getting close to finishing a pair of cases with dual mono supplies.
I want to play more with a few multiway ideas I have with bi-amp crossovers.
I’m still not positive what will end up in them.
I have been thinking about the Lii F15 in Papa’s slot loaded open baffle, using the F2J. I’ve been reading good things about how it sounds.
I forgot to add that my SLOBs use the Lii Audio Fast 8 for the FR.
I have a pair of the F15 in an open baffle. I've played around with them but I can't get the sound I want. It may be that the baffle is too narrow or my room dynamics are off. I thought using the F1J would clean things up and it did help, though I still prefer the SLOBs.
I'd like to try them as the FR in the SLOB. But my baffles are not removable, so most likely it means making another pair of SLOBs. Or making a pair of the Leonidas open baffles.

I realize this thread is a few years old, but does anyone have any spare PCBs available?
If not, and the files are available, I'd be willing (with some handholding) to get a few sets made if others are interested.

I’m also looking for boards and the Jfets 😩I realize this thread is a few years old, but does anyone have any spare PCBs available?

I'll be sticking with the IRFP240/9240 parts since I have a bunch, but I'll also try some onsemi parts. After building an ACA and an Aleph J , I'm convinced a single, single-ended gain stage per channel with no feedback is what I'm after.I’m also looking for boards and the Jfets 😩
