Yep, the Viner brand is owned by Planet X, based in Sheffield here in the UK, though the frame was almost certainly made in China. The frame colour scheme and decals are to celebrate the 100th edition of the Giro d'Italia in 2017.

The pink bike is my 'everyday' summer/training ride and is stored during the winter months. It's a good, comfortable and fast ride for clocking up the kilometres. Shimano 105 groupset and Fizik cockpit.

With the short days and seemingly constant rain here in the UK at the moment, and because I'm nursing a shoulder injury following a bad fall, currently my riding is indoors on 'Zwift'. I'm by no means a top rider (I'm 64yrs old but in the upper quartile for my age group) but I find cycling is great for my physical and mental health and I plan to keep going for as long as I can. In May I plan to 'Ride London' - a 160Km event around the (closed) streets of London.

...pink is not talian stile ;)

Perhaps you should tell the organisers of the Giro d'Itlia to change the maglia rosa...

Anyway, back to the SLOB...

I have a friend who works with CAD and he's producing the files to get the SLOB structure CNC machined from birch ply. The baffle panels will be removable and to start with I'll use a chaep plywood so I have the option of trying different full-range speaker units but eventually I will get some baffles made from clear acrylic.

I have the bass and some full-range units sorted, a 100Watt Class D amp for the bass and a DSP unit to get the initial crossover/equalisation parameters (will later upgrade to the LX-Mini crossover). Today I'll be working on the amplification for the full-ranger.

Progress is slow (like all my projects) but my SLOBs are beginning to come together.
