My question was not how to edit my signature (I know how to do that).@mbrennwa, indeed. Try clicking on your username in the top right of the screen, and finding 'signature' on the list.
My question was how I can include multiple links to my relevant projects and threads (i.e., MORE than ONE link).

Looks like you need to pay $50/yr for one link, and $99/yr if you want two links.
I payed the lifetime thing a while ago (see my earlier post). Is there something wrong with my account?https://www.diyaudio.com/community/account/upgrades/

I wouldn’t know. I reported the post so that a mod can answer the question.
Reading https://www.diyaudio.com/community/account/upgrades/ carefully, I see that lifetime members get only ONE link. With the old software, and as a normal member, I could have as many links as I wanted. I feel this change was WRONG.
Dear diyAudio makers: please reconsider this change!
Dear diyAudio makers: please reconsider this change!
Here's a summary of the link availabilities with the different memberships (I have "Lifetime Fanatic"):
As I wrote before, even the most basic membership allowed me to have as many links as I wanted with the old software. I payed the Lifetime Fanatic fees two months ago because I felt that diyAudio deserves some support. Two months after my "Lifetime" payment they removed the possibility to include a bunch of links to some of my threads and projects (here on diyAudio!). I am not amused. I might ask PayPal to get my "Lifetime" money back.
- Aficionado (Annual): Add your own text signature
- Fanatic (Annual): 2 line signature with 1 link
- Lifetime Fanatic: A lifetime of the benefits of the fanatic level.

The number of links is either 1 or 2 based on your support / subscription level. You need to bump yourself up a notch I think to get another line/link.Not sure if this has been covered already... I just tried to recreate my signature from memory, but when I tried to save I got an error message saying that only one link is allowed in the signature. I'd like to include links to my more relevant projects, as I did with the old forum software. How can I do that?
This doesn't look correct - can I ask you to hold off until @Jason has a look at it?Here's a summary of the link availabilities with the different memberships (I have "Lifetime Fanatic"):

I'm sorry, I thought I had the right link there. Obviously this begins with connecting your donation with the old site to the way things are now. I was going to suggest you post in this thread - https://www.diyaudio.com/community/threads/help-diyaudio-maintain-its-independence.380370/Hmm, not sure what you mean by this. Yes, I am a paying member (I did the lifetime thing).
or begin a ticket in the new subforum - https://www.diyaudio.com/community/forums/new-platform-issues.191/
As far as I can tell, I am already at the highest level, so I cannot go higher. The number of links is either 1 or 2 based on your support / subscription level. You need to bump yourself up a notch I think to get another line/link.
Also, it seems very wrong to me that money is required for linking to other threads and projects here on diyAudio.
It's there now with a single click 🙂@Jason From the main screen, you are right, that works fine! I have a habit of visiting the forum through the subscribed thread page first to see what is new in my watched thread. If the new posts were accessible from that screen with a single click, that would be awesome for me. If not, I can live with that🙂
@JP @pelanj I created an issue to track and investigate this here: https://www.diyaudio.com/community/threads/odd-behavior-in-notification-buttons.380800/This is the only XF forum where I've seen that happen.
On mine the "News Feed" link under the user menu (with my name in it), goes to https://www.diyaudio.com/community/whats-new/news-feedAppears to be working well - so much easier to navigate now, thank you. I don't know if you captured it, but the News feed functionality under Profile appears to have been disabled or changed. This should display posts made by people one follows, but it goes to /community instead.
If this isn't the case for you, can you post a screenshot?
I believe there are 3 main break points - desktop, tablet and mobile. I think that should be enough, but as any specific device will have a different width, you'd need to provide an exact make/model and detail the experience and how you'd like it to change. Feel free to start a dedicated thread on it in the New Platform Issues thread to discuss it in detail.Appears the 901-1200 break point was added which helps a lot. Any plans to add the 651-900 break point? That would allow the right hand columns to be viewed in portrait mode on mobile.
I have created a new issue for the missing new post button on mobile. I have found that very annoying as well. And I have another one - in the old forum, clicking in the new posts area always took me to the new post in that thread no matter how many times I clicked it. Now, it takes me there only for the first time. When I click it for the second time, it brings me to the first post in the thread, since it is already marked as read. And there is no page navigation on top of the page (again, mobile Chrome on an iPhone), I need to scroll down to get the "go to last page" button.
Issue created here: https://www.diyaudio.com/community/threads/go-to-last-post-button-missing-atf-on-mobile.380802/
@AllenB The original post before it was edited used the strikethrough tag, which existed before migration. I note there was not a "close strikethrough tag" so I'm not sure how the previous software handled it, but the new one just ignores the second strikethrough BB code tag and nicely closes the strikethrough.
Yes, please see my previous comments in this thread about them, search for the original question asked by Jan Didden.Question rather than anything else:
Are blogs likely to come back at any time?
If they are already and I just haven't seen them, please excuse me asking
I don't think any regular wants to ever go back to the first post, so I consider this definitely a bug. This is not just on the mobile platform, I see it on the desktop, too. It's been confusing to figure out.
I have created an issue here: https://www.diyaudio.com/community/...u-to-the-first-post-not-the-last-post.380803/
Please let me know if I didn't get that description correct.
We definitely did, I used it myself regularly. I think strikethrough is great and can be used in very informative ways, in particular for edits.I don't think we had strikethrough on the old forum. Those bracket-S sequences could have been there for 17 years, not interpreted as formatting code.
It appears that @AllenB can see this due to a moderator permissions bug, but this feature is not yet public and the location when it does go live won't be there, it would be underneath the reply box at least. The 'similar threads' panel is in a distracting place between the thread and the reply box. It could stand to be at the bottom of the page. It's a push which I don't use as often as that.

I have done some Googling and searching on XF's forum to find the answer to this, and can't find any information about it. It doesn't seem to be an XF feature - you either get instant notifications or none at all.My question got buried so I'll ask again: how can we change the frequency of subscribed thread notifications?
I'd definitely like to see a Discourse-style periodic digest.
I know we had some other options in vBulletin, like daily digest etc. I never used those features so I'm not very familiar with how they were working previously.
How did you use it and how would you like to see this work, and/or what options would you like to choose from in a perfect world?
Click the big "diyAudio" logo at the top LHS of every page.I'm finding the new system somewhat frustrating. In the past, while I might have had the occasional use for perusing one or two particular forums, I generally just went to "Home" and checked for something interesting. Now, I can't seem to find something like "Home" without a lot of clicking around, refreshing, etc. I wonder if there's a one-click navigation to "Home" from anywhere one happens to be.
Your post makes me note that in the breadcrumb we have "Site" as the top level crumb and that goes to the forums index page, but "Home" should be there and go to the home page.
I have created an issue for this here: https://www.diyaudio.com/community/threads/home-missing-from-breadcrumb.380805/
If that isn't the kind of cue or UI metaphor that you would expect or be wanting to use, let me know.
Heya Mattias. As far as I can tell, I am already at the highest level, so I cannot go higher.

Lifetime Fanatics should have been given same privs as the highest level available, which was called (and still is) Connoisseur. It looks like they were instead merged into the Fanatic level (and without any expiry date). Sorry for that, thanks for reporting this, it has now been fixed and all our Lifetime members now have the highest level privileges.
As to links in signatures. Yes, this has been a change, and we didn't really make it to try and make more money, it was more that signatures with lots of links adds a lot of fluff in between posts that every single person reading the thread has to wade through.
If everyone had really long signatures it would significantly detract from the experience of reading threads.
Considering this, and knowing that for some of our members signatures in threads are really important to them, we implemented a pay-as-you-go system where if links in your signature is really important to you, important enough for it to really matter, it's likely that you love the site enough to be happy to support its operations.
So in my mind, this is an excellent win/win for both the membership and the site. There is going to be a lot less long signatures getting in the way of people enjoying reading posts, but for those few members for whom signatures are really important, they can still get them, and they can have links in them if they want.
I'd recommend that for a member who has a lot of links, the polite thing for them to do would put all those links in their "about me" page and then have one link in their "about me" page in their signature. That way members who are interested in that member's projects will have an easy way to check out all that member's projects and links, but thousands of people won't have to wade through a long signature each and every time they see that member's posts.
You can edit your "about me" page text using the WYSIWYG editor here: https://www.diyaudio.com/community/account/account-details
And you can get your "about me" page in your "user menu" in the top RHS then clicking on your name in the menu that pops up.
This all said, I have no particular desire to rain on anyone's parade or ruin anyone's fun or their particular way that they want to enjoy the diyAudio experience. So if you or any other member really want more than 2 links in their signature just write in to the helpdesk at contact@diyaudio.com and let us know how many you would like and we'll hook you up.
I think this is the right balance - by default we are encouraging members to be good citizens with external images and now also with signatures. But we aren't trying to spoil anyone's fun. We want diyAudio to be the best experience possible for everyone.
So please write in to the helpdesk and let us know how many links you'd like, and we'll hook you up.
As for you wanting a refund on your donation, absolutely no problem at all. If you or any member who has donated doesn't feel over the moon about their decision just contact the helpdesk and we'll be very happy to refund you, no questions asked.
Thanks heaps 🙂

If everyone had really long signatures it would significantly detract from the experience of reading threads.
The length of the signature is something else than the number of links. I was happy with my one-line signature, but I used to have four or five links in there. Technically speaking, every letter could be a different link. So even a very short signature can have many links. If you want to reduce the clutter related to long signatures, then limit the length of the signature (as it was with the old system). Limiting the number of links in the signature will not do anything to reduce the fluff.
On mine the "News Feed" link under the user menu (with my name in it), goes to https://www.diyaudio.com/community/whats-new/news-feed
If this isn't the case for you, can you post a screenshot?
That's what the link says, however:
Code:
> GET /community/whats-new/news-feed HTTP/1.1
> User-Agent: curl/7.29.0
> Host: www.diyaudio.com
> Accept: */*

It should 303 to /index.php?whats-new/latest-activity, which should be an activity stream for all the users you follow. Here that also 301s to /community/aud-feeds.

Breakpoints are viewport specific, not device specific. Your current breakpoints are 650, 900, and 1200. You're dropping the right columns at 900, whereas default behavior is to reduce their font size at 900, and drop them at 650. Additionally on /community you're dropping the right columns at 1200 where it should be 900 by default with sidebar on, and 650 with sidebar off.
I was iPhone 11 Pro Max when I reported the issue, and am now 13 Pro. AFAIK, of the most popular phones, only the iPhone 12 and 13 Pro Max have a landscape viewport width larger than 900, at 926.
