Papst "GS 38.09" - in which turntable models in use and what motor replacement of today's available motor versions ?
Datasheet and schematic of this DC motor are to find in post #29 under
Fixing or replacing a Papst GS 38.09 in a HK ST-8?
Hall sensor datasheet (SBV566) and image of the PCB with motor inductors (winding coils) are in post #21 from the same thread
Step-by-step instructions for replacement of SBV-566 hall generator by a currently available but not PIN compatible type are here:
Dual EDS 1000-2 defekt - hall ersatz? - DUAL << Plattenspieler und Plattenwechsler >> DUAL - Dual-Board.de
Commonly replacement ideas are mentioned in the above mentioned thread.
I find out the record player/turntable models as follow:
1) SOTA, e. g. Sapphire
Sota Turntables – Full-line of U.S. made turntables and accessories
The "naked Sota" some notes from a refurb.- Vinyl Engine
Index of /amp-etc/record/sota/jpeg
2) Oracle e. g. Delphi MK-2 and Alexandria

Unfortunately not in all charges of the previous mentioned brands and models is this motor in use. Transrotor e. g. uses in other charges of the same models a synchronous motor from Crouzet (82-330 series) - go to
https://media.crouzet.com/datasheet...que-8-mnm-0-42-watts-Part number-82330582.pdf
Follow questions rises up:
1) What other models uses this DC motor from Papst (I think, there are a lot of additional brands/models) ?
2) Are there universal replacement kits, when the motor don't longer work ?
Thanks for any hints - in the follow posts I will upload several images which clearly show that this Papst DC motor version mentioned in the title was really used.

Origin Live make a universal DC motor kit as a replacement for nearly all belt drive turntables. I have fitted one to a Linn LP 12, but that was years ago and I don't recall much about it, although the client was extremely happy with the deck after I serviced it.

Excellent work. Unfortunately I can't read the web address on the control PCB for the motor.I put an LP12 motor and pulley with a Vinyl Passion power supply into an Ariston RD11S. I had to extend the switch loom, but other than that the result was excellent.
Currently there is an offer from Germany for brand new Papst NOS DC motor versions:
Papst Motor GS 38.09 in Berlin - Wilmersdorf | Weitere Audio & Hifi Komponenten gebraucht kaufen | eBay Kleinanzeigen
The attached image I receive by a PM from the offerer.

Making the assumption that the motor bearings aren't significantly worn I don't see any reason these motors can't be kept in running order by any competent electronics technician, especially if a substitute hall effect sensor is available.
