US Naval pilots "We see UFO everyday for at least a couple of years"

Is this where I get to ask, "Who made that claim?"

I’ll indulge your needle:

I myself, initially.

I, from the perspective of a skeptic on the matter, first reviewed documentaries on the topic and concluded more research was required. I reviewed which were the best books on the subject, read them and reviewed the footnotes. From there I went about reviewing the primary sources. These primary sources mostly consisted of declassified USGov documents, redacted versions of which were available to authors via direct archival research and/or FOIA requests. Of course, a document is not direct physical evidence itself but is circumstantial. It was my determination that the circumstantial evidence was extraordinary enough to conclude that the UFO phenomenon is real and not so easily dismissed as other skeptics might lead one to assume.

Why would you respond like that? You asked a perfectly reasonable question that I’d be willing to answer until you show a hand of bad faith

I could have responded to your “pyramid Power was real” comment with a glib “so was phrenology” or “so was race science” but I’m not here to simply argue

Lol that’s a pathetic review.

One of the merits of the documentary is that it doesn’t delve into the “UFOs are aliens” narrative yet the reviewer insists on this point of critique to build their case against the film. I’m not surprised you found the review an ample substitution for you to actually watch the whole film. I sincerely give you credit for being up front about that.

after years of ufo documentaries being denigrated for being shoddy and sensationalistic it’s not a surprise that detractors now criticize this one for being slick and inconclusive (ie not overstating the case).

All the goalposts are in the Goldilocks zone and for some reason the location of that zone is being kept secret

Mr David Fravor was obviously spooked by his experience, and adroitly jumped to the conclusion, "I can tell you, I think it was not from this world"...a mighty conclusion from an Unidentified Flying Object to that of an "Identified flying object" The particular Youtube "interview" I saw had Mr Fravor dressed in his old uniform...Fravor has been retired from the military since 2006, fifteen years ago now? Most retirees have expanded their waistlines by now, suprising it still fits!
David is now "making the rounds" within the UFO believers circuit, no doubt collecting speaking fees...

Had you referred to him earlier as Mr. Fravor, instead of 'guy', there wouldn't have been a problem. Instead, you chose to discount his story by disrespecting him. What makes your earlier response seem even worse is that, you wrote that last response as though you were not totally ignorant of Fravor's incident. If you weren't, then shame on you for pretending that you were just so that you could be dismissive.

I think its a case of "Lipstick on a pig" regarding the documentary

AFA, I should have suspected you had secrets beneath the surface when you earlier mentioned that TNR article conflating UFO interest with conspiracy theory and right wing political ideology. I gave you credit for just not knowing much because of living on another continent and not knowing much about current affairs in North America.

I think I was pretty definitively wrong about you. You're just someone of the old fashioned variety that is prejudiced about the subject. But instead of just admitting that you are prejudging it you instead try to brand and label those that disagree with you. You know, punishing the messenger.
