Added my name to the new spreadsheet for 4 pairs of the mounting boards.
Just out of curiosity... have there been guidelines established regarding sale limitations of the donated transistors?
Last time Papa Pass donated a couple bags of these out to the DIYAudio community I think everybody got two pair...those were not matched.
He has never had an issue with non matching transistors for the F3...although I know greedy boyz love to have their transistors matched.
I have only breezed over the LuDef thread...I’m assuming that’s where all this interest in matching originated?
I’m perfectly happy to build an F3 with unmatched transistors...did that with my F2J.
Having enough matched for a LuDef I assume is the goal?

The Pass Stash devices are being matched by me. Most of the devices will become matched pairs with 2% or better agreement of Vgs at 1.5A Ids. There will some stragglers that people can obtain as unmatched parts.
I do not have a hard count of the number of parts that were sent to me. I think it is around 400 pcs. Don't quote me until I have a confirmed count.
There are confirmed good low cost verified LD1014D in Ali express. The Ali Express parts are easier to mount to the group buy adapter board than the Pass stash parts.
The idea is one pair per participant from the Pass stash. If there are lots left over, we can have another round.

@wg45 - I haven't "signed up" b/c I have not seen that you've requested that any of us do so. However, if you are limited in the number of parts you can offer, or are planning to use this list for any type of priority, please let us know. In the interim, I will wait until you let us know how and when to sign up.

I understand. We've been trying to puzzle out how to get the GB set up when we expect a limited amount of matched pairs but the total number is still unknown. (Woofertester has been working hard at matching but we still don't have a total count of matched pairs. )
As Woofertester has said earlier today, I think it's going to be one pair person. Most likely we will have some unmatched pairs, too. I think we can count the PCB signups so far towards a pair.
I'll update the spreadsheet (asap) and add the current list to it with columns for LU1014D and PCBs. Please add yourself to the posted list, while I complete this task. Some folks might need to update the PCB count with the news of the one pair person.
The good news is that the LU1014D and LD1014D are available on Ebay and Ali Express. No guarantees, but testing of FETs bought online seem to be genuine. (please use your normal common sense when ordering- some links have been posted to sellers already.)
Thanks for the explanation woofertester.
What you’re doing is very generous.
I can see already people are unsure whether to use the spreadsheet or cut and paste the list.
Perhaps the first post could be edited with instructions so there is consistency?
Maybe add links to the known good sources of the LU1014D there for those looking for more than a pair?

@wg45 - Thanks for the reply. Totally understand. Whatever works best for you all. All the efforts to bring this to life are appreciated.

You need to add yourselves to the spreadsheet.
I’m not so sure the google sheet is the way to go. What’s wrong with a list as posted directly? We can see and self correct for errors much easier and it helps to drive interest and people can see at a glance what the status is. This is a GB thread - not a technical discussion thread, the list IS the data and point of the thread. At this point I would assume everyone who put on the name for the PCB adapter is entitled to 1 pair of the devices Mr Pass has donated and graciously matched by Woofertester. The extra PCBs they requested in the GB will be extras for a future build with other LD/LU1014D’s. Given that the AliExpress ones have been confirmed by several people to measure correctly, it’s a good chance they are genuines. Given that there are thousands available at 17cents each - are we where the 2SK170BL was 20 years ago? Will the hoarding begin? I hope not - so that these devices remain affordable for others to enjoy without resorting to getting them for $40/pair in the future.

People consistently seem to have a problem with cutting and pasting lists correctly - much harder to make those sort of errors by appending to a spreadsheet.
I prefer to follow the directions from the person that has started the thread and is conducting the GB.You need to add yourselves to the spreadsheet.
Fine, I was just trying to help and avoid conflicting lists.
Perhaps whoever is running the GB for the additional isolator boards would like to clarify?

^ What he said...
There seems to be about 7 people who added their names to the spreadsheet since it appeared...including myself.
Looks like 2 more used cut and paste here in the thread to add their names.

My bad. Thought it would be easier. But it seems I have just gone and made it harder. I'm fine with it obviously if the OP would like to go back to our copy alter and paste way.I’m not so sure the google sheet is the way to go.
So even if we don't want a pair of adapters, we're supposed to add our names to the adapter list? Seems like it's bound to cause more confusion. I'm waiting for clear instructions on the devices still.
I didn't mean to cause confusion or any ill thoughts either. However, from reading the posts from the OP and those directly assisting, I'd simply suggest that we anxious folks wait for them to actually provide the guidance vs. speculate and "help". There seems to be plenty of interest. Now, we can politely wait for them to collect their thoughts, conduct their work, and patiently await instruction.
The problem is that the OP was about the GB to distribute the LU1014D devices that NP has offered up - there is clarity with that - wait for further instructions, likely to be June time.
The complication is that a second GB has been introduced for the isolation boards and as far as I can tell that is what the list/spreadsheet is (mostly) about. I say mostly because it seems to have been assumed that everyone who has requested isolation boards will want to be in the LU1014D GB. There doesn't seem to be an owner for the isolation board GB - X has facilitated the boards but I think is far too busy to handle it and the OP has more than enough on his plate with testing and matching the devices.
I've run GBs before but as I'm in the UK I don't think I'm geographically best placed to handle this one.

Chill folks. WG45 will get the devices list organized soon. I have a count of devices and an estimate of the number of matched pairs. WG45 will run the GB. My contribution is nearly finished. At the latest, I will be sending devices to WG45 next week.
